Insured & DBS checked ✅ From a young age I have lived with dogs as well as having plenty in the family. On occasion, this has meant four dogs around the Christmas dinner table (all four paws on the ground and not at the table I must add). From dachshunds and terriers to English setter and labs, there’s no other company I’d rather have had growing up. Nowadays I have recently lost two Labrador Retrievers to old age (10 and 13). I always enjoyed being able to take them out in the morning and evening as they needed to be kept active. I am a keen walker/runner so any chance to get out I will always take up. Since losing them I felt a huge loss in my life so I started doing dog sitting initially for friends and then grew from there. I adore learning about all different characters that dogs have and being able to adapt to this. My main aim is to always keep the woofers happy, comfortable and entertained where necessary. They’re not with us long so they deserve to have each moment given to them with the upmost care. I have my own transport therefore I am happy to assist with this & I hope I can provide a home from home service to anyone who doesn’t want to worry about their pets when holidays & occasions occur.

Largely I like to listen to exactly what the owner expects for their pets care and what the dog or pet is used to in their home environment. Where necessary I have a medium dog crate that I am able to use if this is preferred by owners but I do prefer to allow pets to feel entirely at home in the space so there’s plenty space to explore, play and snooze! I am fabulously located for many walks which cater to varying distances for the pets needs and I also have access to a small garden. I like to have a good bearing on character traits so I can ensure that any pet is comfortable with me. Their likes, dislikes and temperament is always useful. Their routines are also important to me, I will always try to follow what their normal routine is to further reduce any anxiety. Although breeds provide lots of useful information for me to predict how I can best care for your pet, I also like to ensure that you feel just as comfortable therefore, anything you feel I must know or adhere too please do let me know. Even if it’s a piccy of them having their little holiday.
A typical day
I like to ensure that your pet is entertained and stimulated at all times. I believe this is especially pivotal when owners are away as I like to make sure there is no anxiety for them. I like to do this by lots of playing and regular walks, I can pick up the way the pet prefers to play quite quickly for example, some dogs fetch, some dogs run off with the ball and want a chase and others just don’t have a clue between the two! Whatever it is, I can ensure lots of fun. I also have lots of beautiful locations near me for walks so I can snap away so you can see the sights your dogs are seeing too. Any preferences regarding this I adhere to, such as distance, busyness, preferred toys etc. then maybe, we can finish off with a little snack.

Availability
I’m currently in a position to provide the most care I have been able to provide in recent years. I initially began working from home following the pandemic and this has continued. Whilst doing so, I have been able to adapt my hours to be flexible around my commitments such as this, when required. Additionally I am available in the evenings and weekends too.
