Animal Lover, Hard Worker, Fun!

Pet care experience

My mother is a havanese breeder and I help her with the puppies whenever we have litters. We have five girls, so I am comfortable with lots of dogs. My sister has 12 chickens, 2 goats, 2 guinea pigs, and a cat that I have sat for multiple times. I am somewhat active and willing to become more active to make the pets happy! I have another sister with 2 border collies and a German Shepard, so I am comfortable with large breeds as well. Any breed is welcome!

Danielle has been working for my kennel for the past 5 years. She has been very responsible and a tremendous help caring for puppies and adult dogs with and without supervision. She is trustworthy and compassionate, loves animals and is a reliable pet sitter! Anne at Heaven Sent Havanese

Danielle is a great pet sitter. She does an awesome job with our energetic dog. He loves her. We never worry about our dog's welfare when we leave town. We have worked with her numerous times and have always been satisfied with her care.

Safety, trust & environment

As a safety concern, I often ask those that I sit for to provide a list of how much food they are given, times they are fed, any medications they need (how much, what time) just so that I have a checklist. I ask that anything they cannot get into is put up and away and rooms they cannot get into is blocked off. I also ask that the emergency vet and an emergency contact is available for me to contact in case I need to get a hold of someone and can't get a hold of you.

Information Danielle C. would like to know about your pet

I will need tell you exactly what I need when we make an appointment to meet the pets. A brief lost should include: an emergency number of a close friend or relative, the vet number, what time they are fed, how much they are fed, etc. I will usually ask all these questions during the meeting, even if you say you will provide them. This is to make sure I have all necessary information.

A typical day

I will usually just do my normal activities unless they want to play. Most dogs I sit for will bring me their toys when they want to play. I don't do rough play, but am more than willing to play fetch and tug of war. If your dog has any games they usually like to play, I am more than willing to play as long as no nibbling or mouthing is involved.
