The summer before I left for Michigan State University I took a two and a half week trip to South Africa to work alongside veterinarians and practice medicine on some of the largest animals in Africa. I gained more experience in handling large and small animals and how to understand and predict the behavior of many different species of animals. Before I graduated high school I part plated in a Veterinary Medicine class where we held a cat shelter and adoption clinic. Through this class, I was able to get an internship at Frenship Animal Hospital in Oshtemo Township, MI. During my internship at the small animal clinic, I would help prepare the animals for surgery and assist the doctor during surgeries. Also, for six years I participated in 4-H in which I took the responsibility in owning horses and showing them through the 4-H program and other state competitions.

Danielle has an immense love for animals; working with and showing horses for many years during her adolescence, has shown how much she adores taking care of them. She has always had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and cats. She wanted to become a veterinarian and has always considered professions that have to do with animals. Danielle is extremely responsible as she is always prompt, focussed, and proficiently meets every goal she’s set for herself. Danielle is so caring and so kind with animals. She really has a passion for looking after pets and making sure they feel loved. Every time Danielle would come to my house she was so sweet and loving towards my pets. I trust her completely with my pets as well, she’s very organized, and would make sure they were taken care of and comfortable. She’s incredibly kind and I think she would be great with other people’s pets.
