Pet care experience
Note to previous clients: We moved to the Valley! We're sad to not be near Griffith, but we finally leveled up to a house :). My husband and I are both teachers, so we prefer to take dogs on the weekends. This is flexible, though, if you have a dog that is okay for several hours without human supervision. We have two terriers of our own. Yuki is a 10-year-old Cairn Terrier, who we've had since she was 3 months old; she generally keeps to herself when another dog is around. Gizmo is a 5-year-old terrier mix and much more interested in making friends. She is barky when she first meets anyone, but gets over it. For those of you with terriers, you know what I mean. We take only one client at a time, and we allow dogs on furniture and on our bed... actually we wouldn't have it any other way. Dogs are people, am I right? We have a house with a small backyard that is completely walled in. Non-smoking and no other pets. We live on a cul-de-sac, so traffic is light on our street. The neighborhood is quiet and totally walkable, and when the weather isn't oppressive, we drive over to the Balboa dog park.

Daniella, her husband, and their terrier, Yuki, were wonderful with my Missy! Daniella sent tons of cute pictures and assured me that things were going fine. Missy got lots of cuddles on the bed and visits to the park, and even played tug o'war like a real dog with Yuki...something I've never seen her do! She was happily worn out when I went to pick her up, and didn't seem to want to leave them! I'll be happy to take her back to Daniella anytime!
She was an all around excellent sitter. Dogs were well taken care of, comfortable and happy when i saw them in daily pictures that she provided. Best sitter I have had. She is also very flexible and easy to work with.
Daniella took care of my dog for two afternoons and went above and beyond to help me out last minute. Tons of pictures and messages, updating me on my dog’s adventures. Highly recommend.

We have two pups that will keep yours company. We have a walled-in yard with plenty of plants to sniff; there's a shaded patio and a few taller plants that provide shade over the grass. Pets are allowed on furniture and in our bed, and we have several dog beds and dog toys around, as well. We have a doggy door, too, so if you're pup knows how to use one, they'll always have access to the yard.

A typical day
Our short, 40-minute walks are done around our neighborhood. Longer outings are done at Balboa dog park, or on hikes if the weather is nice.

Availability
We're teachers, so weekdays we are out from 7-4pm. We have a doggy door, though, so there's always access to the yard. We walk dogs before we leave and again in evening and again before bed time. If weather is nice, we go to Balboa dog park. We're generally home all day on weekends, though. We have a small yard, and we're usually out there tending to trees and plants and such when we're not lesson planning or grading.
