Pet care experience
Active and attentive animal lover with experience with dogs, cats and various other pets. I've grown up raising various animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, aquatic animals, and reptiles! I currently have a 4 year old Golden Retriever of my own named Louie. He is my entire world and I will always treat your pets with the same love I would want my fur baby to be treated. From my own personal experience with dogs, I am capable of working on training basic commands as well as discouraging jumping behaviors. I currently often watch my friends and families pets which have included German Shepard mixes, Great Dane and Golden Retriever puppies, senior dogs, as well as multiple different cats including senior. To further prove my love for animals, I am also a Animal Care volunteer at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Etters and pursuing a graduate degree in Wildlife Management.

Daniele did a great job taking care of our puppy. She sent pictures and let us know how he was doing during his stay with her. I appreciated her timely communication with us, and her understanding and patience with our puppy.
Danielle was great with Andie, she sent me photos and a video of her playing with her dog.

When visiting your home, I will be sure your pets get the attention and enrichment that you desire. If applicable, I can feed them, provide them with fresh water, play with them, brush them, walk them or work on training commands. I can even water your plants or garden if you are on vacation! I am also a very active and outdoorsy person and if requested, I'd be happy to take your dogs out on hikes or swimming in the creek or for playdates with my own! I am willing to take dogs or cats to my home on a case to case basis after a fun meet and greet to make sure they'd make a great fit! :)

Behaviors such as jumping, leash pulling, tendency to run away, high anxiety or aggressive behaviors so I can be aware, prepared and attentive to these behaviors. Also please let me know if your dog has any special needs such as deafness, blindness, hip displasia or other ailments so I can be careful to support their needs and communicate properly. Food or other allergies as well as special diet requirements would be helpful in case I bring treats!
A typical day
Depending on the energy requirements of your dog, the desired enrichment you'd prefer for your pup, and the yard your home has, I am happy to simply play a game of tug of war or squeak some toys with your pup, take them out back for some fetch, or take them for a few laps around the neighborhood. If your dog requires more activity and adventure, I'd be happy to take them for a run, on a hike nearby around the Hotel Hershey, Hummel Nature Trail or various other locations, swimming in a nearby shallow creek like Swatara Creek Park or to a local park to run freely and throw frisbee or a tennis ball. I also have a dog of my own who loves other dogs so if your puppy or dog needs some socialization and someone to run laps in a park with, my boy would be happy to help out!
