I have a 14 year old mix and a 3 year old German sheppard! I have had them both from a young ages and have a degree in wildlife from Purdue University which included animal behavior courses. I am also certified dog trainer from Animal Behavior College (2 years now) and am CPR and first aide certified for canines. I work with both positive only training and new technology training, this all depends on the dog's needs. I like to start with positive training only but every dog is different and I am well versed on many collars and harnesses to safety introduce to you and your pup. I have done several group manners classes, in-home training sessions, one-on-one sessions, as well as rehabilitated my nervous, fearful, anxious, reactive GSD. She would make herself sick in the car, she would lunge, pull, bark, and would be so anxious she would not eat ANYTHING as a treat (hot dogs, chicken, steak, nothing) no matter how far away from the distraction we were. She is the reason I needed to venture into other techniques and she is now not reactive to other dogs on leash, we can calmly walk through the pet store and she even goes to dog daycare now! I understand what it feels like to be embarrassed, frustrated, out of options, and not know what to do to help your pup. I have so much patience for them because we need to be the ones to guide them.
