Pet care experience
I have taken care of animals for family and friends for a long time. I know from my sister how hard it is to find a good sitter. She has flown me in to take care of her multiple high maintenance pets. I'm trying to break into the gig lifestyle so I'm trying Rover and hoping to have some luck as I am good with animals and enjoy their company. When I take care of your pet in your home I will be able to walk them, give them yard time (if it's a fenced yard) and if they get unsupervised yard I will make sure to go out and diffuse any landmines (poop) on a daily basis. I’m going to start this with saying I’m an anxious dog mom and the fact I relaxed on my vacation is a testament to how well Dan looked after my dogs. He went above and beyond is his care and catered to my every need. I will for sure be rebooking him.
Daniel was amazing! We had him come feed and walk our dogs two times a day while we were out of the country and the updates were exactly what we needed to put the boyfriend's mind at ease. Each update included a map of their walk, pictures of our pups, and a little blurb about each visit. Daniel gave both pups their oral medicine and even handled all of their leash pulling like a pro. Daniel also did a meet and greet before hand which we really respected because it left no questions about anything before we left. When we returned, both pups were very happy and not at all mad at us for leaving- I think all of the walking kept them preoccupied!
Daniel did a great job with our dog summer while we were gone. We would definitely recommend him to others.

I live on the third floor with no elevator. I have a north facing patio with a raised dog bed, it's a nice shaded spot that my dog really enjoys. When I work in your home it is important to do the meet and greet to go over all the basics.

It's important for me to know your pet's general routine, feeding schedule, medical needs, and the things they like and don't like. The meet and greet is an important step for all of us
A typical day
I like going on a walk through your dogs neighborhood, or playing games in your backyard. I am able to do various activities depending on your pets temperament, training and physical abilities. Some examples of what I do with my dog; we go swimming, hiking, running, long boarding (with a special harness), mountain biking (trained to follow, not lead). With less active, but friendly and social dogs I bring them along to the pickle ball courts, department stores, food trucks and other general chores. The minimum I do is a 25 minute walk with your dog in your neighborhood. Depending on the dog this is usually a 0.6-1.2 mile walk.

I currently do gigs and schedule myself independently, I prioritize my Rover clients. During my busiest days I can guarantee 30 min of time ending at 8:30am and another check in/potty break around 4pm.
