Pet care experience
I have had pets since I was a young boy. The first dog I brought home was a terrier named Kelly. Kelly moved away with me to college and was an outstanding dog! All my pets have been strays or adopted from a shelter and they have all been wonderful characters! Louise and Sam followed over the years and then my boys adopted dogs who of course became mine as well. I currently have two grand dogs as home. Queenie 18 years old and Marley is the sweetest lab mix who is around 9. Since I retired from teaching (25 years in Lake County and 5 in Tampa) I have traveled some doing house and pet sitting. I have decided to start offering my services here in my home town.

Once again, Daniel took excellent care of our two dogs and our house. The only problem with Daniel is that we are going to have to book our vacations on his schedule because my dogs would be very unhappy if we had anyone else stay with them. Thanks again Daniel - we appreciate you!
Daniel was terrific. The kids love him. He played with them for hours. He arrived early and took good care of them.
My dogs have never had a pet sitter other than my Mom, so this was a whole new experience for them (and me). Daniel knew just what to do, he asked great questions, he listened, and I didn't worry for one moment while I was gone. He sent me updates, pictures, and videos which I truly appreciated and my dogs loved him! He also stripped the bed and my house was in perfect condition when we got home. If you are looking for someone that just has a way with animals, hire Daniel to pet sit for you. Knowing that i have someone I can trust,gives me peace of mind that I can travel and feel comfortable that my dogs will be well taken care of. Thank you Daniel!
Dan is a great house and dog sitter! He stayed at our house for 10 days, taking care of our young and activate dog, who requires at least 2 walks per day and lots of attention. When I met him, he asked questions that showed me he knew a lot about dogs and was ready to really care for ours. When we got back, I could tell that he made an effort to keep things fun and interesting for Luka and the two of them became best of friends! What's more, we came home to a spotless house -- he had even cleaned the bed sheets. We'd be lucky to have Dan back to housesit in the future.

Knowing a dogs temperament is good before walking. Of course, I take precautions whenever around other animals or possible stressful situations no matter what dog I am taking care of. Any health issues are very good to know about as well.
A typical day
I like to go to a park if possible with a dog. Dog parks can be fun if it is appropriate for the dog. A walk around the neighborhood can be very nice as well. Sometimes if a yard is fenced in playing in the yard is great exercise. Once I get to know a dog I like to do activities I know are enjoyed.
