Pet care experience
Hey there! My name is Daniel and I have been taking care of dogs for quite some time. I'm 28 years old and have had dogs and cats for the majority of my life. Right now, my house is a small petting zoo. The family has reunited temporarily to live under one roof and we currently have 3 cats and 3 dogs: a Basset Hound, a West Highland White Terrier, and a Chihuahua mix. As for cats, we have two Siamese and a Tabby. I have a sister who has 5+ years as a veterinary assistant and friends that work for the Animal Foundation. I know dog people because I'm a dog person! I have an affinity and respect for all animals but love dogs especially - all breeds - big and small. I recently traveled to California to visit a wolf sanctuary! Needless to say, if I can handle being around wolves, I'll have no problem with your doggie. And that goes for cats as well! I have been raising dogs [and cats] my whole life and have been sitting for a few years (first for friends, and now for Rover). I am available to "drop-in" on your furry friend at most times during the week. I have experience walking, feeding, and administering oral medications. I do not provide a "doggy daycare at my home" but instead travel to your home (called a "Drop-In" or "Overnight") to care for your dog in the comfort and familiarity of his home. Please reach out to me if you have any questions!

Daniel is an amazing cat sitter!!! He didn’t miss anything and really cares about pets!! If you are in a rush to leave town just call Dan! Also, he took care of our cats during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! This was just perfect!! He sent me pics of my cats (babies) every day! Thank you Dan!
Third time Daniel has watched Marvin. This is so great. Marvin is a lot happier at home than having to stay in doggy hotel.
Daniel is really great with our dog Marvin. This is so much better than sending him to the pet hotel. Marvin likes his home and Daniel takes good care of him when we can't. We love Daniel.
Dakota takes such good care of my pets that I never ever worry about them when I’m gone. And he sends lots of fun pictures which I really appreciate. I highly recommend Dakota.

Information Daniel R. would like to know about your pet
In order for me to best prepare for your pup, I'd like to know the breed/mix. This is important as it informs me of their personality and levels of aggression. From there, just summarize some of your dogs favorite things, games and any odd behaviors/hiding places. I love when clients leave me detailed info. It shows you know your dog and that you care. But hey, everyone is different. Regardless, communication is key. For your first visit, I'll ask you about eating times, activity level, games, regular potty break times, entry and exit protocol to and from your home, and whether your dog displays risky behavior around people and/or other animals. I know this sounds like a lot, but trust me: preparation is peace of mind - for me, for you, and most importantly - your companions. Side note: *I strongly recommend a "meet and greet" for any first time clients who have dogs. Dog behavior can be erratic and they can display aggressive behavior if you are not there to welcome me to the "pack." It is solely this reason that I schedule a 20-25 minute warm-up at either your home or a nearby park with your dogs (completely free of charge). A meet and greet is also crucial to discuss what services I may or may not provide. My job is to ensure your dogs are safe, given the appropriate attention, and exercised/relieved to go to the bathroom while you are away. Additional compensation may be a topic of discussion in regards to additional tasks and supervision of additional animals. Communication is essential to ensure that your pets' needs and YOUR standards are met with the utmost care and attention.

I've been in Las Vegas for 15 years! I know different areas pretty well, and know a lot of parks. I'd be willing to play things by ear based on the energy level and personality of your pup (running, walking around the neighborhood, throwing a ball). Depending on your preferences, I can modify my services (within reason) to accommodate the energy level of your dog (or cat).
