I've had pets within my family since I was born. My first dog was Loco and she acted as a motherly figure towards me when I was a baby. I grew up having her around. She would always go with us on our family excursions and she was my backseat buddy because I was an only child. I would end up coming home from middle school and taking her on walks and making sure she ate. Loco unfortunately passed the year before I went into junior high. It was one of the most devastating things that I experienced. As time went on, we ended up taking in my aunt and uncle's dog, Rio. Rio did not get along with their children. I would spend the rest of high school watching Rio after school and on weekends when my mother had to work. As I got into my college years, I would then begin to watch my grandma's dogs while she would be out of town. I would also take care of different family member's pets, which included cats and birds. I would come home from college and stay at whatever house I was assigned to for the time being. I always got along with all of the animals and it was something I always looked forward to. I just recently moved out to Seattle in September. I am so happy when I walk outside of my apartment in Capitol Hill and see all of the happy dogs out and about! But sadly, I miss the family pets back home. I would love to care for dogs and take them out for walks and to play. I don't have professional experience, but I do have patience, care, and love for all animals and I am willing to follow the rules of owners and make both them and the pet happy! I'm the crazy vegan that's overly passionate about animals!
