Your baby's home away from home

Pet care experience

My name is Daniel and I fell in love with pet sitting/services over 7 years ago. I started out taking care of dogs and cats but soon assimilated to caring for other pets, such as birds, snakes, and fish. There is nothing in the world like being able to care for a pet that is always happy to see you or take care of a pet that looks to you for comfort and care. Our pets are family and keeping your pets safe, happy and healthy while you are away either for pleasure or business is my top priority. I know how heavy your worries weigh on your heart and mind whenever you aren't 100% sure that your furry family members are safe and happy. I aim to do everything I can so that you and your pets remain stress free. I also offer, for the more adventurous pet, a chance to go for a good hike at Cedar Ridge Preserve, upon request. Feel free to message me with any more information or special requests. God bless! I have cared for pet's for the last 7-8 years. I have extensive experience taking care of all types of pets: dogs, cats, fish, small pets, reptiles, exotic pets such as Bengal cats and wolf-hybrid dogs. I used to pet sit for another company here in Dallas until I had a vision of my own pet sitting service and set out to accomplish that vision. I want to bring a whole new world to a pet's life with nature walks and taking new roads to keep a pet's imagination alive. I currently am a proud "pet" father to a Golden Retriever and an Olde English Bulldog. My wife and I take care of them together. I have had to administer medication to pets on multiple occasions and have handled pets undergoing heart worm treatment (low activity levels and trips to the veterinarian.) I have also cared for multiple pets that required higher activity levels such as jogging, running and biking. Why I love dog sitting I love the way our pets love us unconditionally and are happy to see us when we come home no matter what. We are our pets' entire world and I feel honored to be able to love our fur babies and take care of them each and every day. Seeing a pet happy, wagging their tail or having that little smile across their face is one of the best feelings in the world. If you have a pet, then I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. When your baby is happy, you feel like everything is right in the world. Pet sitting, for me, is being able to love and provide every day for a member of the family who will always love you. My experience administering medication I have had to administer medication on many occasions as well as adhere to a pet's specific needs while undergoing medical treatment. I have cared for cats that have ben diagnosed with major anxiety that needed to be administered a minor sedative orally twice a day as well as a dog who was undergoing heart worm treatment that needed to be walked separately from the other two pets in the house and needed to maintain a low activity level to ensure proper recovery. Besides the above examples, I have also taken pets to and from their veterinarian for regular check ups and treatments and had to monitor pets post-checkup to make sure that the pet was behaving normally and safely before my departure.

Thank you again for taking such great care of our boys. We know our latest addition, our big baby, BoBo can be a handful, but you took great care of him and Thumper. We also appreciate you cleaning up the mess that BoBo made and taking him for a jogs (since he is so high enegery). I spoke to my neighbor she said she saw you walking BoBo and your wife walking Thumper and she could tell how much the boys adored you both (that meant a lot to us). This is our second time using your guys and we will definitely use again in the future. I would highly recommend you guys to anyone and everyone. 5 stars all the way!

I was overwhelmingly pleased with Daniel's service for my two dogs while I was out of town. Having always used boarding facilities in the past, I was somewhat apprehensive about having someone in my home. Daniel and his wife Kim came out for a meet and greet prior to my trip out of town and asked thorough, appropriate questions about my dogs' needs and care. They put my husband and I at ease, and followed our instructions to a T. They sent us nightly text updates and even a video of my Jack Russell's play session. I think my dogs were disappointed when we came home, as they had such a great time with Daniel and Kim. The pricing was extremely reasonable and I have no doubt we will be using their services again. I enthusiastically recommend Daniel and Kim to any apprehensive pet parent!

Daniel and Kimberly were very easy to work with and my pups loved them. They came to meet our dogs before our trip and asked a lot of great questions. They reached out after each visit to let us know how our dogs were doing and we really appreciated those updates. We definitely hope to use their services again in the future!

Daniel and Kimberly made twice a day visits to take care of our boys Winston and Thumper while we were in Iceland for two weeks. Initially, I was a bit worried because we have never been away from the boys so long. However, after meeting Daniel I felt at ease and Thumper instantly took a liking to him. It was amazing to hear that also Winston, our shy cat, opened up to them and welcomed belly rubs (this was huge). I really appreciated the daily updates and photos. The boys were well taken care of and we came home to a nice clean home. I will definitely book with Daniel and Kimberly again and will recommend to my friends with fur babies.

Information Daniel E. would like to know about your pet

Breed makes no difference as to the level of care I will provide for a beloved member of the family. I few essential things I would like to know when first meeting a pet and their owner is: What is your pet's feeding schedule? What is your pet's favorite activity? How is the pet with other animals? What are some tell-tale mannerisms that are worth knowing about (bathroom, hungry, sick, annoyed?) Does the pet like to be handled or left alone? Does the pet have any specific allergies? Does the pet have any medical conditions I should be aware of? What are some of the basic commands the pet knows?

A typical day

Our sitting style is dynamic duo-ish. We change our approaches according to each pet's needs and what the parent needs from us as caretakers. The only constant we can guarantee is that each pet we take in is loved even more than the last time we saw them and we will care for them as our own. We do our best to keep each pet that comes to stay with us in a loving environment while at the same time maintaining the same rules and habits each parent has spent so much time teaching them. Time I'll spend with your dog I will spend no less than 30 minutes with your pet on every visit, rain or shine. We go on a 20 minute walk/jog/run, depending on your pet's needs. After the walk, your baby gets a fresh bowl of water and a treat for their job well done. We spend about 5 minutes playing with your pet's favorite toys as well as another 5 minutes working on strengthening his/her knowledge of commands or working on new commands. I am capable of adjusting my schedule as necessary, depending on the specific needs of your pet. Extra house-sitting services Every sit that I complete comes with the following, at no extra-charge: 1. Pet walked for 20 minutes 2. Fresh water given (feeding if necessary, as dictated by the owner) 3. Treats at the end of the visit 4. Plants watered 5. Mail brought inside (depending on the time of day)
