Pet care experience
I am a lifelong dog lover who grew up in with dogs, and have been a dog owner myself for the past 14 years. I currently have a 13 year old Yorkie-mix who loves to go for walks, hikes, drives, or just play fetch. Im fully experienced in all areas of dog care - walking, playing, feeding, medical, hygiene, etc. Ive owned small dogs, mid-size dogs, and large sized, pure breeds and mixes, puppies, mid-life, and elderly pups. Im available extensively during the summer months as I work in education, and I also have availability during school years in mornings, late afternoons/early evenings, and weekends. I am available to host your pup, or stop by for visits and walks. Whatever you need, I am your guy!

Daniel took great care of our 12 year old labradoodle for 9 days. He gave our pup daily exercise, helped him to adjust to his 2 smaller dogs and sent us photos with regular updates. We wouldn’t hesitate to have Daniel watch our dog again.

I live in an apartment building in SE Portland. There is an outdoor dog potty station on the building roof deck down the hall from my apartment which any furguests may use, but I make sure any furguests get plenty of outside time on walks, weather-permitting. In my apartment, furguests are permitted on furniture, if that is something the owner is ok with. If not, I can accommodate by providing a nice, cushioned location on the carpet. Fresh water and feedings each day according to furguest needs and routines. And I always keep any furguests on a leash at all times on walks.

My dog Ellie is generally very accommodating of furguests, but it would be most helpful if owners could share any specific concerns that they may have as far as their dog's behavior goes. Does he/she have any leash behaviors I need to be aware of? Any food-related concerns? Allergies? Any special needs? I aim to make sure each stay is a safe and happy one for your dog and my girl Ellie so any relevant and helpful info up front is appreciated.
A typical day
I am 0.3 miles from the Buckman School soccer field park, and I routinely walk my dogs south of Burnside from 12th ave to Laurelhurst Park, weather-permitting. Your dog will get plenty of exercise and opportunities to sniff and 'take care of business.' I also keep a large supply of varied chew toys and balls on hand for my dog and they are always happy to share. Plus, treats and belly rubs come with the stay.

Availability
I prioritize my dog Ellie's care daily - morning, afternoon, and evening walks during the week, more on weekends. I make sure any furguests get plenty of exercise, fresh air, feedings according to their schedule needs, and comfy places to chill while at home, and plenty of toy play as well.
