Pet care experience
My name is Daniel Dean. I have been around dogs my whole life and volunteered at a local vet clinic drawing blood, assisting with surgeries and basic health care. I am experienced in caring for a wide variety of animals and can help with whatever needs your pet requires. I also have experience with training and animal phycology. I am extremely passionate about animals. I have years of experience in the military, medical and security fields, and I am always looking to work with animals whenever I get the chance! My Uncle (Matt) is my dog groomer and has been grooming dogs since the 80's. He also has years of experience in taking care of pets. Matt will typically do my drop in visits, unless there are complicated medical issues. Matt also does grooming at my residence where we watch the dogs. My wife and children have learned a lot from me in dealing with animals and their behavior. My daughter specifically has learned a lot about understanding animal behavior. Daniel did a marvelous job watching our two dogs, Nillie and Kenzie. For the meet and greet, he went out of his way to schedule a time that worked for us. While watching our dogs, Daniel sent daily updates and many pictures of our precious pups during the near week we were on vacation. Our dogs are almost polar opposites, and Daniel was excellent with both. Nillie, about 2 years old, is a bit timid at first, but usually she is playful with boundless energy. Kenzie is an older dog with a skin condition needing oral medication that Daniel was comfortable giving her. Kenzie just likes to relax and laze around, and he gave her space and time to do just that. We unexpectedly extended our vacation by one day, and Daniel was accommodating and flexible. This was our first time using Rover, and like most people, we were nervous, but with Daniel, we simply couldn't have made a better decision. We had a great vacation, due partly to Daniel and knowing our dogs were in such great care. We will absolutely book with him for any future trips we have; I know Kenzie and Nillie will be very thankful!

I was a little nervous about bringing my husky because i’ve never had anyone watch her but i’m so glad i picked Danny!!! He’s very knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior which eased my mind. Him and his family watch lots of dogs at a time but always make sure each one is comfortable! I will always use Daniel as my dog sitter from here on out. Thank you Danny!!!

We have a doggy door with a fenced in dog area. We also have the main back yard where we do have a pool and allow dogs to swim in it during the warmer months. We feed all dogs separate regardless of behavior. Any dogs that might not get along with others will be separated into groups where they will be the most comfortable. When it comes to sleeping arrangements, the dogs are allowed to sleep in our rooms, with us. We have been known to have 8 dogs on our bed at once while we sleep. We also have security cameras in the backyard, front yard, and in the house to ensure we will always have eyes on the pets for extra safety.

I understand that not all animals will get along with others. I do my best to weed out pets that will be complicated with other pets. If a person knows their dog is not great with other dogs, or if those dogs bully other dogs, we prefer not to watch them for safety reasons. We do not watch aggressive dogs and unneutered dogs.
A typical day
A typical day is to get up and feed the pets, for those that are fed in the morning. We do our daily chores and play with the pets as well as watch them throughout the day. we treat all animals we care for like they are our own pets. It is a family environment for all.

Availability
I do pet care full time now. Pet care is done in my residence and someone is always home to make sure the animals are cared for. Pets here are free roam, so we will always do a meet n greet before hand to ensure the pets behavior and personality will fit with the rest that we watch. We do watch numerous pets at once. Cats are always separated from the dogs, unless they are our cats.
