I've had cats and dogs for as long as I can remember, as well as a few guinea pigs, chickens, and miscellaneous other critters! As an adult I have had two cats that have lived through to their golden senior years, and just recently got my first puppy as an adult - what a love-filled learning adventure that has been! I volunteered in the past for a pet adoption organization, fostering kittens and assisting with adoption placement. I have cared for friend's dogs and cats over the years, and am now excited to expand that service to others. As a pet owner myself I understand how important it is to feel comfortable and at ease when leaving your critters with a pet sitter! Here are a few of the benefits I can offer in caring for your pets: * I'm a remote worker and manage my own schedule, so I can be flexible in working with you and your pets' needs, in particular if they need someone around more of the time. * I am skilled at cat care through the lifespan and am comfortable giving medications, and reading cat cues for the full range of personalities :) * I also have experience living with and caring for senior dogs, giving medications, following particular dietary restrictions, and modifying care and activities for blind dogs. * I am using positive reinforcement training with my own pup, and happy to do that with yours as well. If you use a different approach I want to know all the details so I can keep their care and training consistent. * I'm comfortable with puppies and familiar with housetraining protocols
