I had the benefit of growing up near and on farmland, where there were plenty of animals to care for and be taken care of by in return. So, while I've been taking care of animals since I was a kid, I've been the token dog-sitter for my traveling friends and family for the past seven plus years. I just finished my master's in art education, so I'm taking some time to rest and process that experience. Other than working part-time at the local library, I often work virtually, which gives me the flexibility to work from different locations at different times. While this may not fall under the "special skill" category, I already go on walks several times a day because it does tremendous good for the mind, body, and soul. I know that having some canine company can only ever add to that experience.
