Patient and experienced, I’ve owned and cared for a wide array of animals over the years. My family has always owned dogs, cats, and other exotic pets over the years. Though sometimes it’s challenging, the most important thing I’ve learned is to always be patient and kind with every animal you encounter, whether it’s a brief greeting on the street, temporary care, or owning one. Kindness doesn’t always make you a pushover, and it’s often a fine line to walk with headstrong and independent animals. Finding that balance is key, and I believe I’ve achieved that. Previously I worked as a kennel technician for a veterinary clinic, and that job taught me even more about patience and how important it is to be kind and patient with dogs, even if they seem to be aggressive. There’s always a reason behind a dog’s emotions, and it’s our jobs as their caretakers to figure out how to help and care for them to the best of our abilities.
