Hello! My name is Dana and I love meeting new animals! I have 7 years of dog/cat sitting experience, plus 5 years of being a beloved dog-aunt to my roommate's fur babies. I have worked through Rover consistently for over a year. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. I also have experience caring for senior pets as well as administering medication. I am also fully vaccinated for COVID-19! My goal as your sitter/walker is to make your pets feel comfortable and cared for while you're out working or traveling. I'll meet them at their energy levels meaning we can play fetch for hours or I can keep them company on the couch and give them plenty of snuggles. For first-time bookings, I prefer to set up a meet and greet so you and your pet can get to know me a bit. I know leaving your pets can be pretty stressful, so I make sure to take plenty of pictures of your pets and give you daily updates on how they are doing while you're away! I'm pretty communicative so feel free to message me if you have any questions. I can't wait to be able to take care of your pet!

Dana is wonderful! I am very picky on whom I entrust to look after my pets and Dana does an incredible job. She looked after my senior kitty and now my two young very active dogs. She’s trustworthy, great ensuring their routine is followed and provides them with attention in the way they want. She’s great at managing unexpected situations - in this last case a roofing job right behind our house that had my youngest pup stressed to the max. She was calm and levelheaded managing thought the situation and supporting Stella. We appreciate Dana very much and look forward to her next visit!

I only do petsitting in the owner's homes at the moment. In our initial one-on-one meeting, I like to discuss expectations and house rules for the stay. My main goal is to be able to help your pet stay comfortable in their own routine and schedule. Whether this looks like getting up for a 7am walk, or sleeping all afternoon, I am here to support. I also respect that I will be a guest in your home while I'm there caring for your pet. I keep things very clean and try to make it look like I was never there when you return.

The more information about your dog/cat, the better! Please let me know if your dog has a history of abuse or aggressive behaviors along with potential triggers. I also would like to know if your dogs has any special medical or behavioral needs that I need to be aware of.
A typical day
I typically meet dogs at their energy needs. I love exploring new places and would love to take your dogs along with me in your neighborhood, the local dog park, or on small trips to nature trails. I do not transport dogs without explicit approval from the owner, and like to have an understanding of your dog's temperament before going somewhere. If your dog loves walks or would appreciate a small trip, we can discuss this at our initial meeting! :) If your dog is perfectly content to sleep the day away, that is perfectly fine as well! I'm an avid Netflix binger and occasional Mario Kart aficionado so I can keep them company while they snooze.

Availability
My day job requires me to be in the office from 8:30 to 5. I typically get up early in the morning anyway and can plan to walk and have your pet ready to go for the day. When I return, I always make sure to give them plenty of love and attention. I enjoy going on walks, and would love to relax after work by taking your pup around the block.
