When my partner’s career took us across the country to (usually?) sunny Los Angeles mid-pandemic, I had to make the incredibly difficult choice to leave behind my beloved dog walking company, an incredible community of clients, and my amazing team in Boston at West End Walkers (WEW). Now, I’m a freelance artist and writer in Los Feliz with a majorly flexible schedule and a big puppy shaped hole in my heart! Does your pet want to be my BFF? Because I sure want to be theirs! :)

Dana is great with dogs! She ran an excellent dog walking company in Boston. Obviously, she likes dogs, but she's also good at handling and training them — something not every dog lover has! I trust Dana to watch my pets regularly.

Dana and Chris took our senior dog into their home with open arms when we needed last minute help. We were a little worried because she has a cat and our dog has never been around cats, but everything went just fine. Our dog also needs medication during his meal times and they did everything as instructed. We got regular texts and photos which gave us peace during our travels. We will hire Dana and Chris again and recommend them to you.

MEET & GREET At your convenience, I require a quick Meet & Greet appointment with the owner(s) and pet(s) to ensure a good fit for everyone involved prior to an appointment. Meet & Greets include a short walk around your neighborhood and may also require a brief visit inside your home. A few examples of what's included during a Meet & Greet: - Bonding and building trust with your pet in a safe, comfortable setting - What to expect before, during, and after an appointment with me - A brief overview of my qualifications and specialities or any questions you may have - Creating a profile for your pet (likes/dislikes, unique quirks, health info, etc) - Approval to take fun photos during visits and feature your pet in social posts :)

A typical day
All of my services are tailored to the individual pet and client needs. Every pet is different, which is just one of the reasons why pet care is such a fun and rewarding profession! A typical visit with your pet may include: - Lots of sniffing on the way to their go-to poop spot - A vigorous game of fetch in your yard - Playing with their favorite toys inside your home - Helping improve your dog's leash manners or reactivity - Giving your pets their medication, meals, and topping off water bowls - Sending clients a recap of my visit with photos :)

Availability
Taking care of your pet is very important to me. I prioritize my local pet care clients equally with my freelance projects at home in Los Feliz. Just a few examples of special options that are nearly always available: • Last-minute or emergency help • Visits outside of business hours (ie: before 9am or after 6pm) • Regular or recurring appointments • Extra time (longer hikes, all-day hangs, etc) • Overnight care (at my home or yours) • Special focus visits (training, exercise, snuggles, etc) If a client is a car ride away, we work together to figure out a way to accommodate them as often as possible as well!
