Weekend sitter/walker available!
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Dana and I am primarily looking for weekend dog-sitting/walking opportunities. I have grown up with dogs my whole live and have experience with all shapes, sizes, breeds and personalities. I am the proud mama of a French Bulldog named Hammy- so if you’re looking for a sitter with experience in handling stubborn bulldogs, look no further! 😂 I am open to all pups including those who are on the shy side or struggle with reactivity/behavioral issues. I am more than willing to be patient with pups who may need a slow introduction or time to warm up to me. I also don't discriminate at all based on breed! I am available for a quick drop-in potty break or a nice weekend hike if it's a beautiful day! I also have no problem administering medication or providing special care for elderly dogs (I have a total soft spot for the old timers!). I also have experience with puppies (dogs under 1 year old).
Reviews
Dana has been my dog sitter for approximately 5 years now. I’ve used her services for walks throughout the day, housesits, and drop-ins during the workweek. Dana is professional, trustworthy, compassionate and loving to my two dogs. I traveled extensively for work and I always felt calm and secure knowing that Dana was with them. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker and/or pet sitter.
We used Dana’s services for the first time yesterday. She was awesome. She came in the morning to meet us and our dog Wrangler. When she took him for the two walks we arranged she sent us photos. She’s a very nice, trustworthy young lady & we definitely will hire her again.
Dana has watched and walked my parents' dogs multiple times - they (the dogs) love her! They are generally very timid, and sometimes scared around strangers, but they warmed up to her so quickly. She has a gentle personality that makes them feel comfortable, and they listen to her (probably more than they listen to my parents!). I would recommend Dana to anyone looking for a kind, diligent, and energetic individual to watch/walk their dog(s)!
To whom it may concern, Dana has walked/pet sat for our two Yorkies on many occasions. As a rule, they can be very anxious with people but when they see Dana they get so excited! She is so kind and gentle with them. The girls, Sierra and Cassie really enjoy their girl time with Dana. My husband and I both work long hours so it is comforting to know that Dana with be there to care for “our girls” when we cannot be there. We highly recommend Dana for your company. Tom and Lisa M.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and the well-being of your pup is everything to me. I keep all dogs in my care on a leash at all times (unless they’re in a fenced in yard). The more information, the better- if your pup doesn’t play well with others, I’ll keep them away from dogs when we’re out on a walk. If you prefer them crated after a walk, I’m happy to do that as well. Additionally, I always take weather into consideration. The Georgia heat can be tough on our pups especially those with flat faces/breathing issues. I am educated in the signs of heat exhaustion in dogs and will always prioritize shaded areas on walks in the summer. I avoid pavement at all costs and ensure your pup is hydrated before and after time outdoors. I treat every dog like my own and safety will always come first.
Information Dana K. would like to know about your pet
As stated previously, I do not discriminate based on breed. I would like to know the following prior to meeting your dog: -age -energy level -any allergies/medications that need to be administered -friendliness with other dogs/people -any other little quirks to be aware of -favorite activities -favorite treats! -any other specific requests for me regarding your dog (needs to be crated after a walk, etc.)
A typical day
I love the Big Creek Greenway for walks! I’m also happy to walk your baby around your neighborhood. Or, if you have a fenced in yard, we can just keep it simple! I'd be happy to come over and just throw the ball around! The options are pretty endless.

Availability
I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to take care of my own baby and yours! I’m happy to take your pup out for a potty break while you’re at work or for a longer walk if needed.
