**About me** I am newly retired after a life time of employment...most recently inpatient medical coder working out of my home here for a hospital in Memphis. I just moved into 1201 Midtown Apartment and looking forward to my 'dream job' of caring for pets and helping professionals who travel be assured that their loved one(s) is in very loving and experienced hands. I have always been a dog lover and have owned 4 mini-schnauzers and a yellow lab along with a lop eared bunny, gerbils, 2 cockatiels, and a chinchilla while raising 3 great kids. I have always had a unique chemisty with dogs that creates a lasting bond. Since working at home, I now have 2 Tuxedo cats that give me the flexibility I need to care for pets and to visit my 4 grandkids in Raleigh. My philosophy for pet care is same as for my own children....consistency, positive reinforcement, lots of hugs and laughter, discipline when needed coupled with a safe and secure environment. **About my home/services** I offer pet care services as listed and sitting at your home when out of town for short or long travel. I will let dogs run and play in the 'pet playground' here at Midtown and enjoy long walks together. My motto has always been 'fit for life' as I am athletic playing tennis and golf, synchronized swimmer in college and eat a very healthy diet...so my new gig of pet care follows naturally with my past and future fitness goals. Of course the safety and supervision of each pet is my primary responsibility. Holiday extra fees will be added if I'm available. **About my neighborhood** Mt. Pleasant has many areas for dog walks and play that I will learn about and explore with my sister and niece who have 2 Westies and 2 labs, respectively. As I build up my walking miles for the Ravenel Bridge Run/Walk on April 1, I am finding many open places to walk that would be ideal! **What to expect** I will give my 'new friends' all the love and attention my own dogs received. Long walks with verbal interaction followed by treat, hugs, water and rest time for both of us! I will work with teaching and reinforcing new and old tricks and behavior as I did with my own dogs. **Special rules or requests** No undisciplined dogs that jump up on me or bite or growl with strangers.
