Never lived a day without a dog
Pet care experience
From the time I was born until I was four my family and I had one dog (Black lab/Coonhound). At that point we had gotten a second (German shepherd mix)and I lived with two dogs until I was twelve. After my German shepherd mix passed away we got two Golden Retrievers totaling three dogs in the house, two puppies and one adult dog. For my first three years of high school I walked and fed my three dogs daily. My senior year our eldest dog passed away but I continued walking and feeding our two golden retrievers daily. Since going to college I am not with my dogs as often, but when I am home during the summer and breaks continue to feed and walk my dogs. This past summer my best friend got a puppy (Yorkipoo) which I spent every weekday morning (10am-3pm) watching. This including playing, walking, feeding, and general care for the young puppy. Between the experience with the four dogs I have had in my life and my best friends small puppy I have worked with dogs ranging from 100 pounds to 10 pounds. I have experience giving dogs their medication (orally) as well as portioning out food for specific diets. I cannot remember a day in my life that a wasn't with a dog or didn't have a dog on my mind.

Dan is great! He is reliable with walking our dog and our dog always seems very happy on the walks. (Plus the pics are great!!)
It's been an awesome experience working with Dan. He's gone above and beyond to make sure that our puppy Howie is well taken care of. He wrote detailed Rover Cards and included lots of pictures which made us feel confident that he was the right dog walker for us. He's taken care of Howie several times and I don't doubt that we'll work with him again in the future! I would definitely recommend Dan for your dog care needs!
Dan has had dogs since he was about eight years old. There were at least two and many years three dogs in the family(all generally big dogs) For the last nine years he has had two golden retriever siblings. During that time he has often been responsible for walking, feeding, grooming and playing with the boys. Sometimes I truly think they think he is their older brother! The last two weeks of his winter break coincided with a long planned trip for my husband and myself. We left Dan in charge of the house and the dogs and had absolutely no qualms in doing so. Dan loves dogs and I'm certain that were he hired to watch someone's dog he would take care of it as if it were his own.
Dan is not only an amazing person but he is one of the few people who is completely infatuated with dogs. He has grown up with them his entire life, and continues to take care of his and his friends dogs. Probably one of the best dog caretakers around.
