If you are expecting a professional, stress free service I would not book with Dan. This is the last sentence of the care instructions for one of my dogs: "He will also not stop drinking water and then pee in the house, so 1-1.5L a day is typical." This is the message I get only a couple hours into the stay: "I gotta tell you both Layla and Bailey are great but you could have told me Bailey is prone to accidents. Not one but 4 since you dropped them off. That is not a one off thing. This happens often and you should have warned me. Not cool." It gets much more out of hand from there after I point out the care instructions so I'll summarize my review of Dan as a Rover sitter based on the rest of the messages. I found him completely lacking in basic conversational etiquette and most importantly professionalism. The first night of my dogs stay was punctuated with emotional, baseless accusations; the conclusion being that he clearly neither read nor followed the straightforward care instructions at any time before or leading up to their stay and that this somehow was my fault that my dog did exactly as I stated would happen. Both of my dogs were not welcomed back only hours into the stay and I kept thinking "You must be crazy, don't flatter yourself." If you want to pay someone to be blatantly disrespected and who is oblivious to the fact that you are paying for a service and not asking a favor, then I would say Dan is the right Rover sitter for you. If you particularly enjoy being on edge and worried about your dogs while you are away then Dan is perfect for you! On the other hand, if you want true professionalism at a better price then Christie D is phenomenal.

Our dog Bear absolutely loves staying with Dan and his family! Bear has stayed with Dan many times. Bear is so happy when we pull up to Dan’s house which makes us so happy. Dan is amazing with Bear and frequently gives us updates and pictures. Thank you Dan for always taking such great care of Bear. I highly recommend Dan!
