I am relatively new to San Diego ,coming up on one year, and I do not have any pets. I grew up with two miniature dachshunds named Dapple and DJ. They live back where I grew up with my parents. I helped care for them for ten years(they are 14 and 16.) I am considering getting a dog in the next few years, but right now I am hoping for the next best thing. I really enjoy walking and playing with dogs. I do not have any problems with dogs jumping up on furniture or hopping up in my bed. I am typically working Monday through Friday until 3:30pm. Other than during those times, I do not have any sort of obligations to attend to. My roommate Charles will be around at times, but he shares the love for dogs just as I do.
