I have always had many pets in my home, and often pet sat for the neighborhood. I know work with hard to adopt dogs at a local shelter. I am comfortable with all types of animals, and will quickly become good friends with your baby.
Reviews
Dan was a fantastic sitter! Went above and beyond what I had even asked. Additionally, he was very thorough and timely with his communications. I'll certainly book with him again in the future when the need arises.
We have used Dan time and time again with absolutely no issues! He is wonderful and truly cares. Thanks again Dan!
Dan is great communicating and always a joy knowing my dog will be in good hands. Will definitely re-book!
Great timing, wonderful meet and greet would highly recommend!

Information Dan C. would like to know about your pet
I am comfortable with all dogs. From the tiniest tea cup, to mastiffs. I work with a ton of second and third or last chance dogs at the shelter. There is no such thing as a bad dog, they do not have the capacity. There is just misunderstood dogs, who have baggage, and those issues need to be learned, and lovingly accpeted. But until I get to know a dog, any and all invite is crucial, and helpful. Are they afraid of storms, and have special toy, and spot they use to self comfort. Do they have a strong prey drive, and will bolt after a rabbit or cat, great to know so I can be on the lookout, anticioate the dogs reaction and ideally distract before a reaction. Are they scared of loud noises, we stay on quite streets, etc. Does he/she love head scratches and nor belly rubs, or vice versa. On a walk do they prefer going hard, and racking up miles, or do they prefer to let their nose guide, and want to check the pee mail. The more incite you can give the better I am able to care for your love, and better able to make the experience as ideal for your baby, when they are missing you.
A typical day
It totally depends on the dog. I have worked with all kinds, and love them all. If your fur baby wants to binge watch a season on Netflix, game on, or the opposite, your love wants to hit a Forrest for a 5 mile hike also not a problem. With your permission and willingness of the dog, I love to take them for a paddle on the kayak. But also love just playing fetch until my shoulder gives out. A favorite game for me and my dogs is Easter egg hunts (year round). I place treats in plastic eggs with the dog inside, then hide them in the yard, where appropriate for the dog (size, age, breed, scent or sight driven etc.) It is a blast for both of us to watch them hunt and find their treat, and stimulates their mind, gets them thinking. It also builds a bond and trust as I gently give hints and point in the direction of an egg they might have missed. It is a Sunday afternoon game my dogs love love love.
