Pet care experience
I’ve owned dogs for many years and currently have a 9-month old Pug who loves to play with other dogs. I’m a merchant mariner (I work at sea on large ships) and I’m home for 2-3 months at time, so my availability is wide open as I’m currently home until early April. I’m doing this mostly because I love dogs and have tons of free time. My apartment is small but as I’m available all day, I can take your dog out at anytime run, walk and play. We live 4 blocks from the beach which is dog friendly before 9am and after 5pm. Between those hours we can walk on the quiet neighborhood streets of South Jax Beach. As an added bonus, I’m also willing to use my nice camera to take high-quality pictures of your pup during our stay together. Looking forward to meeting you and your doggo :)

I have known Dan for many years and he has always been very receptive & comforting to my 2 dogs. I have also observed Dan at his parents home (they have 2 rescue dogs) and he is very affectionate and patient with them as well. Dan got a dog for his girlfriend 6 months ago. I have observed Dan and his talents with training & disciplining that dog and I was truly impressed with his dog skills. Its obvious that Dan is animal lover, especially dogs, and was raised in a family of dog lovers. I have known Dan since he was in middle school. Dan has always been polite, well mannered, and reliable. I have witnessed Dan's commitment to his friends over the years and his willingness to always offer a helping hand to someone in need. I have also witnessed his interaction with animals, and dogs in particular. Dan has a special connection with animals, and is patient and loving to every animal he comes into contact with. I would definitely recommend Dan as a dog caregiver.
Dan's love for dogs is evident. he even has a shirt that says 'dogs are people too!' - LOL! Dan is loving towards other dogs and he can also accommodate any special requests or needs for your dog. I told him I really wanted my pup to continue responding to sit commands on walks - especially across the street - and I believe he honors this because my pup has not lost this skill. I will definitely be looking to Dan when I need a sitter in the future.

Walks will be either on the beach or on quiet roads near the beach. I have a small fenced in yard where your dog can roam, sniff, go potty and play off the leash. Play can continue inside as well ;)
