Patient, reliable, fun, and loving

Pet care experience

Hi Everyone. When contacting me, please start at 9:00am, since I'm awake by then, and Please Note that I will not start any services without meeting the pet and owner through a meet & greet first. Knowing we will get along is important. I was a vet tech for a vaccination clinic for four years. I learned basic first aid, body language, and how to create a positive environment for pets and owners. I have always had a dog or dogs and a cat in my life to take care of. I already go hiking and walking daily. I have managerial experience and customer service experience. I do my best to always be polite and respectful of all animals, people, and life. I do have limitations that I set but I'm flexible enough that I can work with clients to make a compromise, and do my best to. I'm cautious when entering homes to make sure no animals escape and am always focused on locking doors behind me. I won't force any animals to walk with me or do anything they don't want to. I have no problem with administering medication, feedings, and providing water.

We have been extremely happy with Damon, as has our Jack Russel Laika. Damon is a very good communicator and we would recommend him very highly.

Safety, trust & environment

For drop in visits I offer play time, feedings and medication giving, changing water, and a little training for treats. For House sitting I can offer walks 2-3 times a day, and spend most of the day at your home caring for your pet to give them the sense of company. If I have a busy day I can do drop in visits often so they aren't lonely and offer more play time.

Information Damon W. would like to know about your pet

Any health and/or temperament issues. Whether your pet needs to be fed and/or given medication. I often care for senior dogs and since they tend to have more physical issues, I would just need to know what they are to better care for them. If you think it knowledge I should know about your pet then feel free to share it with me. I don't have a breed preference since I realize every animal has a different personality and though some breeds may have consistent traits, I won't limit my thinking or my business. I welcome all breeds and sizes, we just have to all get along.

A typical day

I prefer dog walks in parks with plenty of grass and room to run around. I generally just go for the closest park in the area I'm currently in. And if I'm walking with a dog that doesn't get along with others, then we can stick to small parks and sidewalks. While taking care of your pet I give them my full attention and do not use my phone unless taking fun pictures or sending a text to begin or end our experience. I do my best to avoid letting your pet eat any food off the ground, especially around trash cans. I bring my own poop bags so there is never any chance of waste left behind. And while on walks I let your pet lead the way and stop to sniff whenever they want so it's more so about them instead of me.
