Pet care experience
I've been a dog owner the last 13 years, and did quite a bit of pet sitting (including cats) in NYC prior to that. Over the years, I've done twice daily long walks with my dogs, potty trained puppies, and administered meds to older dogs (including chemo). I have an extremely flexible schedule, and I have a spouse who can care for our pets while I'm working. While I'm engaged with a client, I'm 100% focused on their pet. In a client's home, I make certain to find out what the house rules are for the pet(s) to make certain we follow those rules and keep consistency while the owners are away.

Dalvane was an incredible dog sitter. He watched our two dogs and a cat for 8 days. One of dogs can be particularly hard to deal with and by the end of the week Dalvane was his best friend. The house was left clean and everyone was happy. Dalvane was very communicative and willing to go the extra mile to make the dogs happy. I highly recommend Dalvane's services.
Dalvane is truly THE BEST. We were in the same boat as most of Rovers first time clients. Our house and its two fur needed a needed a professional to come in, and ensure our dogs were happily and healthy as we had a 5 day trip to Florida, with us needing to find a professional puppy and house sitter pretty last minute. We are dog people. Our dogs are the NUMBER 1 priority when we plan anything that takes us away from the house. I searched Rover and read over a hundred profiles and HUNDREDS of reviews before landing on Dalvane. He exceeded every expectation in truly professional form. Our pups LOVED him from the meet and greet, and cozied up to him quickly. We felt comfortable handing over the keys to our house (house sit and puppy care) due to our meet and greet and his verified reviews. Dalvane took amazing care of the house and pups, sending us tons of pics each day. He communicated frequently and candidly, even going as far as hand/spoon feeding out little girl who can sometimes be a picky eater. Our older pup Ben needs medication twice a day which was no problem for Dalvane. If I could give Dalvane 100 stars I would, but Rover only allows 5. We are now #TeamDalvane and you should be to (as long as you don’t steal him from us lol). Dalvane, Thank you for being THE BEST!
He is always so patient and loving to my dogs. He is truly someone who cares about animals in general, and knowing my pets are in good hands allows me to enjoy my vacations. I highly recommend him.

I'm a firm believer that when pet-sitting I both entertain the pets with games and also providing cuddle time (if the pet is open to it).
