Pet care experience
I used to work full time as a dog trainer. I grew up in rural Eastern Washington, and during that time I cared for dozens of animals, including 9 different dogs. Over the years I have met dogs of many different temperaments, and have yet to meet one that I couldn't befriend. I absolutely adore dogs, and often tell others that "dogs are my favorite people." I am currently available for weekend sitting but am flexible if you have needs during the week. While under my care, pets are never alone for more than 6-8 hours and I will always let you know what my schedule is before a booking. If you have any special requests for your dogs while they are in my care, I am absolutely happy to accommodate them, just let me know beforehand and I can make arrangements.

We love Dalton! I can’t imagine leaving our elderly dogs with anyone else. This time Pony was stung by a bee and had a terrible allergic reaction, and Dalton was amazingly calm and took wonderful care of him.
Dalton was great! He had wonderful patience with my rescue pitt mix who has some anxiety issues. I came home after a 5 day trip to Roger unphased and happy. Dalton gave me updates as needed and I will book him in the future.
Dalton was amazing! We had never left our dogs to go on vacation in almost 6 years, and we were very nervous about the idea. Dalton responded to messages immediately, both during the booking period and during the stay, and it really helped us to stop worrying. He sent daily updates about our pups, and we came home to happy dogs and a spotless house! Truly a fantastic sitter- if I could give more than five stars, I would.
Dalton was great and able to go with the flow even when things got complicated. Handled a bit under the weather pupper with aplomb.

I like to know what your dog's schedule is like so I can emulate it as much as possible. If your dog has special needs or has medication they take, let me know beforehand (it is also helpful for me if you provide written instructions for medication that I can have as a resource). I have a good deal of experience with administering oral medications and some limited experience with subcutaneous injections, so I am able to make some accommodations. It is also helpful for me to get a good sense of your dog's temperament. I have worked with dogs with all sorts of personalities, including many dogs on the nervous/anxious spectrum.
