My name is Dakota and I've been on Rover for 2 years, but I have years of experience with both cats and dogs! I grew up with the sweetest black lab (I definitely have a soft spot for black labs!) and I am the proud owner of two very spoiled cats. I am very active and currently training for the Ath Half, so I would love to take your pup on runs or walks! I am incredibly responsible and organized, and if you don't believe me, check out my 42 5-star reviews! Hope we get to chat soon! I work remotely from home, which allows me to take time away if needed to care for your pup or kitty with drop-ins, walks and more! While I don't board pups anymore, I am very careful and cautious in owner's homes. I always pay attention to any quirks, fears or safety issues that owners voice to me, and make sure to go above and beyond to provide the safest care for your furbaby.

Dakota was an excellent petsitter. She looked after our three cats (two kittens; one adult) in a very last minute booking. We appreciated her quick response over chat. She sent lots of happy photos of our kittens while we were away and took good care of them. We plan to rebook if we ever need a sitter again!
Dakota was great with our dog, Woody! It was our first time leaving him for a trip and he’s an extremely anxious dog, so we were nervous about someone new coming to take care of him. She was very patient with him and did her best to make him comfortable. She was wonderful about sending us updates and pictures, as well as cleaning up after his nervous accidents. We would definitely recommend her!
Dakota did a great job. One of our 3 cats is very skittish and since this was Dakota's first time with us, we assumed she'd hardly even see the cat during her 4 days of petsitting. To our surprise, she bonded with our cat during the very first visit. We are so pleased with her work - just wonderful in every respect.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the best experience. I had to cut my trip short and come home early because there were several things that made me uncomfortable. For example, leaving the dogs alone for too long, not meeting at agreed upon time, and inviting strangers over to our house. I explicitly said one of our dogs was afraid of men and she brought over an unknown man into our home on the first day we were gone.

A typical day
No matter how old or young or lazy or energetic your pup is, I always make time for outside time! While my spoiled kitties prevent me from boarding pups, I love taking the dogs I walk on big walks and even trips to Starbucks for a Puppacino! I've also taken a few of the more energetic dogs I've watched to Lake Herrick for a run and hike! No matter your dogs personality, I will always find a way to make sure they're having the best time they can while you're away!
