Pet care experience
I have had pets all my life, and I am currently a cat mom to two lovely ladies (Pippin and Luna!). I have years of experience owning and working with animals. I worked through high school and college as a grooming assistant at Brookside Barkery in Kansas City, MO before going to graduate school in the Pacific Northwest to study primates! I've lived all over the world, from Japan to the Peruvian Amazon, working with wild primates. My passion for animals extends to every reach of my life and I'd love to lend a helping hand caring for yours!

Dakota is one of the best pet owners I’ve ever known. Dakota has had many pets in her life and all of them have been very loved and well taken care of. I’ve spent numerous hours with her and her cats and can testify that she cares about animals more than anything else. Everything she does for her animals is above and beyond, from the food she feeds them, the supplements she spends extra money on to make sure they are healthy, the love and care she gives them everyday , and even in the detail she takes when providing instructions for the friends that watch them when she isn’t there. Any pet would be lucky to have her as a sitter.
Dakota cared for my cat and dog for over a week and I didn’t worry once the whole time I was away (rare). She sent me some updates of how things were going, communicated effectively, and loved on my babies as if they were hers. My dog is 14 and has a complicated med regimen and my cat gets UTIs regularly so they require close attention and that didn’t scare her off. She kept the routines tight and provided walks and love and snuggles in my absence. I was happy to come home to two content kiddos who didn’t seem to miss me at all. I’m so grateful for the care she provided and for the peace of mind her presence brought me. Can’t recommend her with more acclaim or accolade.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs! I am highly capable in pet medical care, as I've been trained in field veterinary techniques while working with wild primates in the Amazon rainforest. I am comfortable assisting with any special conditions or routines that are required for your baby to be comfy and happy!
A typical day
I believe that dogs and cats deserve to get in touch with their wild side! I love play time and I love to make sure all that energy gets channeled into fun and constructive play that creates an enriching environment for your pet! Of course, I'm always down for some snuggles too!

Availability
I currently work full time, but I work remotely on Tuesdays and Fridays! I am available all day Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to lend a helping hand! I am also available after 6pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for an evening drop in!
