I have a warm heart for cold noses

Pet care experience

*** Please feel free to message me if you are concerned about rates or would like to set up a different form of payment *** There has never been a moment in my life where I didn’t have animals. We have had dogs, cats, horses, and chickens and I have loved all of them equally. I have been helping to take care of my grandpa’s coonhounds since I could walk. Throughout my life, I have been able to work with these strong, high energy dogs. I have experience with walking them, as well as teaching them how to walk on the leash with minimal pulling. We have also raised MANY litters of puppies, so I have experience with puppy care as well. I have had the responsibility of giving puppies their parvo/puppy shots to ensure they don’t become ill when weaning from their mother. I have also had my own dog, Sally, for about 10 years now. She is a French bulldog, and she does need a little extra care sometimes. She has some skin irritations, so she has a special food that has helped. She also has a gentle shampoo that she is bathed with that will not cause her to itch afterwards. I also keep her face and wrinkles clean to keep any irritation at bay. I am a student at Morehead State University, where I am part of an organization called 4Paws for Ability. We work with service dogs in training where we socialize them in public. These dogs learn to not be afraid of new things, and to feel comfortable and confident in a public setting no matter where they go. I have been a part of this group for two years, and for a year and a half of this time, I have been able to dog sit many of these dogs countless amounts of time. I had the opportunity to work with and be responsible for one of these dogs named Gingko. I was responsible for his care, and a lot a lot of his basic commands. My main goal was to socialize him in public, which included things like meeting new people/children, being able to walk by dogs without a reaction, going shopping at Walmart, hearing new sounds, or even just a walk through a park. In the summer of 2022, I volunteered at the Owen County Animal Clinic where I had the opportunity to work with all sorts of dogs and cats. Often times, I would comfort and hold animals still for any injections, nail trimmings, or basic inspection that needed to be done. I enjoyed my time there, and I especially enjoyed giving love and comforting many of the scared and stressed animals.

Daisy cares for animals like no other, I have worked with her hands on with service dogs and household pets and she really goes the extra mile. She shares a bond with them that not a lot of people are capable of. I don’t think that anyone would be a better option than her for your pets. She is very professional but at the same time loving and goofy to allow your pet to have the time of their life.

I met Daisy within a club at school called MSU 4 Paws which helps aid in the training of service dogs. I have seen Daisy take on many roles within this club and she has taken each on with absolutely no issue. Daisy is very loving and compassionate towards every dog that she has encountered. She is a very up front and honest person who will also ask questions when she feels it is necessary. She provides great communication when she is watching another persons dog and always lets you know what's going on and what they are up to. I could not recommend Daisy enough to anyone looking for someone to watch their animals. She is an amazing person and really cares for and loves others animals like they're her own.

Daisy is a very trustworthy person and someone who I have personally left my service dogs in training with. She always follows any directions I have for her and I can leave the dog knowing that they are in the best care possible. She is awesome with communication and I can guarantee your pets will love having her around!

I have a pretty big yard so my dog gets to run around as she pleases. She isn’t kept on a collar or leash as she is very well trained to stay in the yard, but she doesn’t like to be alone anyway so she stays near me. But I do understand that not all dogs are like this and may need a very watchful eye. When my grandpa raises a litter of coonhound puppies, they need to be watched during outside times so they don’t wonder off into the woods or close to the road.

Information Daisy C. would like to know about your pet

One good thing for me to know about your dog, or cat, is if anything causes them to be reactive. Whether it’s something they are afraid of, or if it’s something they will become aggressive towards, this is crucial information. This could range from new people, other animals, or certain objects. I would also like to know if there are any corrections that you do, or don’t, approve of. If there are things you are doing to correct or reward certain behaviors, I could keep this consistent by doing what is done at home so they do not feel they can get away with what you consider bad behavior when with someone new. Medication is not an issue for me, however, I would like to be made aware of any medication or special care your animal may need so we can set up a plan if an emergency were to happen.

A typical day

I could take your dog to the fairgrounds for a walk or a play date! The trails are usually pretty empty so that would be a great place to walk, especially if your dog needs a more quiet and non popular area, and is a great way to avoid cars. There is also a fenced in tennis court where I could take your dog to play off leash. It could be with a tennis ball, a frisbee, a rope, or just me running with them. This would be a great place for dogs who don’t normally have the chance to run off leash and play.
