This is my second experience with Rover and in comparison to the first, this was not pleasurable. First, over the five full days my fur baby was with the sitter, I only received two updates on her and one was asking if I was still coming to get her at noon. Second, I paid for six days but I dropped her off at 7pm Sunday and picked up 12 noon on Saturday. I’m not complaining about the time because it’s what I selected but to be consistently asked when/if I’m still arranging to pick up at noon was annoying. Third, I picked up my fur baby and felt like I picked up a pack of cigarettes burning. Her fur was filled of smoke smell and it was HORRIBLE. I had to immediately take her to her groomers for a bath. I don’t smoke and no one in my family or my household smokes! I would have not chosen a home that indicated there were smokers. She will not be returning. I encourage the sitter to consider thinking of what experience the owner would love their pet having if you are looking for repeat business.
