Hi! I'm Thia (short for Cynthia, after my mom). I come from a dog family. My sister and I grew up in Illinois with Shih Tzus and standard poodles. She and I now live in LA, and together we sought out the closest combination of what we knew: a miniature poodle mix. We rescued our dog Ruby in 2010. While my sister and I don't share an apartment, we share our dog. Some people might frown upon this, but Ruby loves having two homes. Along with our boyfriends, we all make up one big pack. Please let me know if you have a preference for your pet. If you think your dog would be better off without another dog in the place, my sister can take our dog Ruby. Or if your dog wants a friend, Ruby can be here. I've found that to be helpful when dogs come to stay with me at my apartment. It's like they know they can trust me, because another dog clearly does. Also, I'm a big proponent of the pack walk, so if I'm walking your dog, I'll usually bring Ruby along. But if I'm coming to your place, into your dog's territory, I'll leave Ruby behind. We're flexible. Speaking of flexibility, I am a filmmaker and co-founder of Shy Ruby Productions. What does this mean for you? I work from home! I'd love to take breaks throughout the day to walk your dog or just have him/her here to keep company during your work day. I have done extended overnights both in my home and in the pup's home. One less lonely dog makes the world a happier place.
