CAN I PET THAT DAWG? PLEASEEE

Pet care experience

I've had cats and dogs my whole life. All kinds of breeds-mostly huge ones🤣 husky, chow, labs. I currently swap pet care with a neighbor, so I figured why not sign up for Rover! She said she used to do it, and she enjoyed Rover. It gives me a dopamine boost every time I get to see the fur babies. I'll treat them just as my own.

Cynthia has done a great job taking care of my large dogs when I'm away. I have used her for drop in visits for atleast 3 years. Trips very from a weekend to two weeks that she has cared for them. She previously helped with my senior Alaskan Malamute when he was a teenager (85lbs). She LOVES my Newfoundland (130 lbs). She has followed the instructions my trainer providers for my Sheepdog (80 lbs). She is constantly sending photos and videos of them playing at my house / in the yard. By request, she has also took them on walks. For medications, I have always preportioned thier food and medicine in labeled ziplock baggies to make it easier on her. My dogs have always been happy when I returned home without any signs of neglect or abuse.

I would trust Cynthia with my dog, Frank(greyhound) more than anyone!! She is amazing with any animal and definitely treats them with all the love in the world! She’s a pet mom herself, and would do anything to make your pet feel comfortable and safe and loved!

Cynthia used to live above me, and she always interacted and loved on all my animals. Between bearded dragons, ferrets and cats, Cynthia loves all animals. She has had her own cats over the years, and she is best the fur mom a pet could have. She would and has done everything possible for them. She's protective, fun and caring. I always trusted Cynthia to care for my animals.

Cynthia grew up with animals and has always been passionate about their welfare. As an adult she had a cat that moved with her from college to adult life. She had always had to have an animal in her home, and has done an excellent job of taking care of them. She makes a wonderful pet parent and would take just as good care of your beloved pets.

Safety, trust & environment

I usually immediately let out the dogs or walk the dogs. Then I feed them. While they are eating, I will do whatever needs to be done such as filling water bowls, cleaning up messes, etc. Then once they are done, I give lots of hugs or play depending on the doggie needs. Some dogs just want to sit under my feet and sleep while I'm at the counter or some dogs have all the energy in the world. Cats tend to just be cats 🤣 I had a cat that requires injections, so long as the dog or cat tolerates, I can do shots, oral or topical meds.

Information Cynthia J. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know what I might need to do or not do depending on the animal. I.e. no sudden moves/getting them riled up because they don't like it. One dog I pet sat didn't like sudden motions towards them to pet them...it startled them. Or if there is an injury that needs to be managed with low energy or no running, medications, if there are treats and how to feed treats....really anything you'd like me to know to help care for them. As for dry food and any pills you give the dog, please make Tupperware (or sandwich bag) meals for the doggie with measured food in each and their medicine. It's extremely helpful, and it makes sure that your doggie gets exactly what they need when they need it. This works extremely well for one client whose 2 dogs take all kind of vitamins and meds with their measured food. It guarantees no issues whatsoever. Also-heads up if the doggie is a counter surfer so I can make sure everything is locked away!

A typical day

I'm that friend that friends tell "don't rile them up" then I rile them up. I love getting dogs happy. They get so much joy out of it, and I get laughs. If you have commands or training you're working on, I can run the dog through them. Fetch is a fun past time if the client has a fenced and safe backyard. When the weather is nice, I'll sit outside with the dogs. I make myself at home with them.
