Pet care experience

I can guarantee to treat your pet(s) like they are my own, following your instructions to the letter. We're going to have a blast and you won't have to worry they are alone, bored, causing mischief or in need of a potty break or exercise. Nothing would make me happier than to be able to spend time with them and help you out at the same time! Everyone wins, right?! I'm comfortable with all breeds, sizes and energy levels. My dog is 13 now so I even have experience with older pooches. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. I currently clean homes so I could even do some cleaning up during a visit if you'd like. Thanks so much & I look forward to making your life easier!

We've hired Cynthia three times to watch our cat. The first time was seamless, easy, and absolutely worthy of a second stay. The second time was fine in terms of pet care, but she locked the keys we provided in our house before the last check-in (luckily we were headed home earlier than planned so we chalked it up to an accident and gave her another chance - things happen.) This last visit was the worst possible pet care scenario we can imagine (with exception of pet harm). Cynthia did not pick up the keys when we had organized time to pass off, but due to the fact it was a day before the holiday we were understanding, and found an alternative solution. The first check-in (7PM on Thursday) was fine, and we were very grateful that she was able to do so on a holiday. On Friday by 8PM (25 hours later) we were very concerned that we had not received a check-in update, so we reached out to Cynthia to ask for that update. We reached out to her several times over a period of 3 hours and were unable to reach her at all. We had also contacted the emergency hotline, and they were also unable to reach her. It was a terrifying situation, because we were over 7 hours away from our pet, and had no way of reaching her or getting her alternative care. We woke up on Saturday morning, gearing up for a much earlier trip home, to text messages left at 1:34 AM AND 3:30AM that explained that she had been to our home at 8PM, but had forgotten to indicate so on the app because she was *DRUNK* and had left her phone in our home. She added that she returned for a second time to our home to retrieve her phone, which she then played with our cat again. She also sent a text to us that was clearly intended to be received by Rover with a completely different scenario, that included her needing to rush off to care for someone else's animal. Frustrated yet slightly relieved that our animal had seemingly at least been fed, we began our trip home. Upon our return, we found our home in disrepair. The door to the cat litter box was closed, so our animal had no way of using the bathroom. Cynthia had cooked human food from our freezer (chili, vegetables, and cheese) to give to our cat rather than cat food, left food all over the floor/kitchen, and pieces of our stove top were misaligned. Our furniture was moved in several rooms, there was an ashy substance sprinkled all over the bathroom floor, rugs had been flipped, and everything from candles to picture frames were toppled on the floor. These are only a few of the things we discovered upon our arrival. After speaking with our downstairs neighbors, we discovered that they had heard multiple crashes and disturbances very late into the evening, and indicated that it sounded as though there were several people in our home coming up and downstairs. Our animal is certainly traumatized, as are we, from the lack of communication, care, and respect shown through this process. We would not recommend trusting the health of your animal or safety of your home to Cynthia.

Cynthia was great! She made me feel so much more at ease about being away from my senior dog, just knowing that she was being taken care of so well. Highly recommend!

Cynthia was great! We loved how she kept in touch daily with updates on how our cats were doing - even with videos of her playing with them. They were well cared for and looked after while we were out of town.

We booked Cynthia to drop in our cat twice a day for the weekend and for a Monday morning. The first day everything was fine and standard with the check ins. Day two was honestly a nightmare. In the morning, she checked in for her visit late and checked out after a longer time than usual. She then let me know later that her phone had died so she added photos from the day prior to her Rover Card for the visit. This was strange but we gave her the benefit of the doubt. Later that night after Cynthia did not check in an hour after she was supposed to, I proceeded to message her 4 times and call twice over a 2.5 hour span. Cynthia was completely not responsive. We ended up having to call the emergency hotline. They were also not able to get in touch with her. This was extremely worrisome as our kitten hadn’t been fed and Cynthia had our keys. I had to wake up very early the next day to get back as soon as I could to check on the cat. An hour into my long drive, Cynthia messages saying she had bad head aches the night before and couldn’t drop in and she apologized. She went over to feed him that morning and dropped the keys off. This was an extremely stressful experience and we had also asked Cynthia to scoop the litter, which was full and disgusting when I got back to my home. I will not use Cynthia again and after Day 1, the service provided was irresponsible, stressful, and frankly scary.
