I love dogs. They are your loyal friend and companion. I got my first dog (dachshund) when I was 6 months old and she died the year I graduated from high school. She was 18 yrs old. I got my first dachshund of my own in 1990, she was with me for 17 yrs. In 1999, I got into dachshund rescue, and rescued my Kobe boy and he was with me for 17 yrs until 6/18/15. I'm a little partial to dachshunds, but I LOVE every breed of dog. Who can't love a dog? They are a family member. You have to take care of them as if they were a human. You have to love them, feed them, take care of them, and if they get sick you have to take them to the vet.
