Pet care experience
I’ve worked in multiple private veterinary clinics for many years. I most recently worked as the medical manager at North Shore Animal League in New York, one of the largest no-kill shelters in the U.S. I have many years of experience working with and caring for dogs and cats, and I owned several pets before moving to North Carolina. I live in Angier now right on the border of Fuquay Varina. I’m an animal lover, pure and simple, which is why pet-sitting feels like a natural addition to my professional and personal life. I enjoy making sure pets feel happy and safe when owners are away, and I enjoy making sure owners feel their pets are in good hands. I love playing with animals, giving them one-on-one attention, and helping them feel a human connection. I am retired now and my wife works from home so your pet will not be alone. My house has a wonderful large fenced in yard, plenty of room to play in. I do have a very sweet Bichon Frise named Raleigh and of coarse there’s our Charlie too. He is the sweetest dog, loves every person and dog he meets. I can not board any dog aggressive pets. I spend a lot of my free time getting outdoors, cooking, working with computers, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family. Those who know me say I’m caring, responsible, and experienced. I entered into this line of work because I genuinely enjoy animals want to help keep them happy, healthy, and thriving. I’ve amassed considerable experience working with pets, and I understand the level of care it requires and the responsibility that comes with it.
Reviews
My fur baby was in great hands and had a blast at Curt’s. Curt sent pictures while I was away and checked in which eased my mind! Curt and his wife also allowed took extra steps to make sure my dog got along with their pups and asked if my boy needed anything special done while he stayed. Would recommend Curt and hope to use his sitting services again!
Curtis is an excellent choice for anybody who needs a dog sitter. He is very friendly and trustworthy and took excellent care of our dog who came home happy and healthy.
Curtis helped us when we were in a bind. He did great with our dogs even though they were nervous about being in a new state.
Curtis was great! Meeting him, his wife, and his dogs went smoothly during our first visit and we were confident our pup would be in good hands while we were away. We will definitely contact Curtis in the future and will recommend him to friends!

Information Curtis W. would like to know about your pet
With new clients, I like to find out as much as I can about a pet’s personality and preferences. Does he interact well with other dogs and people? Does she enjoy high-energy situations or a more calm and quiet environment? Of course, I’ll want to understand your routines for feeding, walking, special outings, and your family routines, so I can make your pet as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
I’ll take care of all of the essentials, of course--feeding and exercise. But I’ll make sure your dog enjoys some fun distractions while you’re away, either getting out to the dog park, taking a long walk in a new environment, and getting in some play and cuddle time indoors as well (probably all of the above!). I’ll make sure to send updates on our activities and let you know how your little one is doing while you’re away. My goal is always to create a safe and fun environment and give out lots of hugs and care.
