Couple in Oxford looking to dog sit

Pet care experience

We have recently moved to Oxford from Bristol and looking to dog sit in the area. We have been on Rover for well over a year and have had the privilege to look after loads of dogs which we have built a strong bond with. We have also both cared for and had dogs in the family from a young age. We have experience in looking after so many different dogs and we can accommodate to their activity levels and personalities. We have look after multiple dogs and have done so on various occasions. This has included organising different feeding arrangements, bathing, walking, and generally providing great care for any dog we look after.

Otis was so well cared for, having only left him for one night previously we couldn’t ask for more. Otis was so well cared for, updates were massively appreciated children loved them. Would definitely recommend thanks again for being so kind and flexible with our change of plans.

Curtis and Eilidh are really experienced and knowledgeable. Reggie had a fantastic time with them and came back shattered from all the playing. They kept great contact and were flexible when we had to change timings. Thank you so much!

Curtis looked after Charlie for the weekend at his place. Curtis took the time to meet Charlie and I, a few weeks before the stay, we went for a walk and spent some time at his. This gave Charlie ability to get to know him and his place. This meant that when the weekend came for Charlies stay she was excited to see him and reduce her stress of being somewhere new. Curtis is professional, calm and clearly has a love of dogs, would 100% use again and recommend to friends/family.

Our 3 year old mini Goldendoodle has never stayed away without us so we did our research as we wanted to be confident she would be content and well cared for. From the off Curtis’ communication was excellent and we arranged to meet him and Eilidh on a walk initially. Watching them with two dogs they were looking after it was instantly obvious they are dog people. They are both relaxed, assured and attentive in how they handle dogs. We then arranged a single overnight stay to see how our dog coped. Again communication was excellent in planning and whilst our dog was with them. Photos and updates really helped us relax. They are honest though and did let us know that our sensitive girl was a little unsettled for the first hour or so but they walked her and she settled quickly after that. That all reassured us for leaving her with them for a week. By this point we were all thinking of this as her holiday from us as we knew she would bond with them and she certainly did!! She had plenty of walks off lead and stayed with them - something family haven’t even done with her! Knowing that she was allowed on the bed and settee for plenty of cuddles again helped us to know she would enjoy all of their attention and feel relaxed. When she returned home to us she was very excited to see us but equally ran back and forth between us and eilidh and Curtis as if to show us her new friends!!!

Please let us know if your dog has any special needs or requirements. We have no preferences and will do our very best to look after any dog :)

A typical day

We both love exercise and getting out and about, so for more energetic dogs we would take them to a large open area where we can go for runs or long walks. For calmer dogs that maybe do not need as much tiring out, we would be more than happy to have shorter walks around the local area. We will play lots of games, give loads of cuddles and tummy rubs!
