Hello! My name is Curtis and I am a former Veterinary Nurse with 3 years in-hospital experience. I am comfortable working with a wide range of sizes, temperaments, and health condition of dogs and cats, as well as other species. At the hospital, I worked with recently feral animals as well as lifelong family pets, and did everything from cleaning cages, to drawing blood, to giving medications, to inducing anesthesia (among many other responsibilities). I have loved animals my entire life. My father was a biologist, so I always grew up around animals, both pets and wildlife. I believe that animal care is very important work. Our pets are so different from us, but also so similar. That tension makes a life lived alongside animals so strange and special and irreplaceable. It's a relationship that's crucial, and healing, and something we could all use.
