Pet care experience
I have been blessed by kitties since I was 8 years old, having lived with eight so far over my life and said goodbye to five. I have had three puppy dogs, a shorkie raised from a puppy, a shy and previously abused pibble, and our senior German Shepherd/Siberian Husky baby. I have been able to be there for fur children when they crossed the rainbow bridge, both my babies and babies that I found injured in the road who deserved a better fate. I have experience administering oral medication to dogs and cats and brushing and trimming the nails of willing cats. I have senior dog experience including lifting medium size dogs into vehicles and onto beds, patience with their toileting and occasional accidents, and finding innovative ways to convince them to take their medication. I have potty trained and socialized a puppy as well.

I care for pets in others' homes in a manner that ensures that their pets are safe first and foremost, which includes locating all animals during my visit (even those kitties that like to hide), ensuring that nothing has been disrupted that could cause harm, and making sure they have access to fresh water, toilet, and food. I follow instructions from the client and ask for clarification if needed. I do my best to leave their home in the same state it was in when they left it. I am presently not caring for others' pets in my home as my cats seem to prefer to keep our household at our current number of members.

Please make sure I know about any off-limit areas in your home, yard, or neighborhood for your pets. Also, any food allergies, dietary restrictions, recent illnesses or injuries, and any odd behaviors that are normal for your babies are important. Sharing your pets temperament around strangers, other animals in the home, and animals outside of the home is helpful to keep them safe. I also like to know your usual vet.
A typical day
I love playing fetch (or throw the ball and then run around with the dog while he or she plays keep away), tug (if parents okay it), chase (within enclosed areas), and catch; both inside and outside as appropriate. My kitties love to play with strings and laser pointers and our kitties and doggie all love playing moles (hand under the cover so they can satisfy the pouncing and hunting instinct). I would love to hear other things that your pets love to do.

Availability
I work from home and am taking some time to reevaluate my business and next career so I am generally available during the day on weekdays. I am presently not available before 9:00 am as I have a standing appointment in the mornings. I am periodically available in the evenings and weekends. Please check my schedule for availability.
