Nordeast Dogs - Home Office Worker

Pet care experience

I'm a natural dog lover with a fun, easy going household and a pretty cool resident hound dog. I work from home and walk everyday at least one to two miles during all seasons, with the exception of extreme temps (low or high). Your dog will be sure to get lots of love and attention! I've also had many foster dogs of all breeds and sizes. Check out my pictures of the foster dogs. I have experience with megaesophagus and can provide care for your dog's feeding requirements. For Day Care: I will do daily dog sitting occasionally, but not on a long-term basis. I understand sometimes we just need a day off from the dog or have last minute emergencies. This is more what I'm willing to provide for day care. For House Sitting: Since I have a dog, I might have to bring him to your home. It depends on the length of the stay. I would be staying at your house most of the stay since I am able to work remotely I would require only internet connectivity. Sorry, at this time I cannot board so called "bully breeds", which is mainly anything with a pit bull mix. My homeowners insurance won't allow it.

Simon had a blast at daycare with Crystal and her pup. He came home tired and happy and I was very pleased with the excellent communication and to have him welcomed back anytime. Dog daycares are very overwhelming for him and finding someone to handle a 8 month old puppy is difficult and I’m so glad we found Crystal!

Crystal was incredibly helpful in letting our dogs out when we went on an extended day trip to visit family. We wanted to keep our dogs at home in their familiar environment instead of having them at someone's house and Crystal was more than willing! Thanks :)

Crystal and Deacon were great hosts. We had set up a meet ahead of time which went well for two very energetic dogs and one very bossy dog (Bitsy). Crystal has a great setup and well thought out options for dogs. Also sent photos of two exhausted dogs napping :). Highly recommend Crystal and will definitely use her again.

This was our first stay using Dogvacay! Crystal was very informative and helpful making us (worried parents) feel good about leaving our puppy. When we picked Islay up she was exhausted and it was clear she had played hard. The only thing is that our dog does not stand up for herself well and Crystal's dog is a 1 year old dog as well. While we were dropping our dog off we noticed the host dog playing a little hard and Islay not speaking up. I think in the future they would play better together. I gave three stars however because after noticing this behavior and reading "24/7" supervision Crystal spoke about watching the dogs from the window while she worked in her office. While this would work for a lot of dogs I think Islay needed more 24/7 supervision which is what we were hoping for. I would recommend Crystal to anyone who's dog can tolerate a puppy's energy level! Which unfortunately is not Islay yet.

I have a fenced yard and never leave the dogs out there unattended, even in the winter or rainy weather. I also have indoor and outdoor security cameras. I know how stressful it can be to leave your family member with a stranger, but you can be assured that I will treat your dog with love and keep them safe.

Information Crystal S. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know of any health issues, sensitive spots to avoid touching, anxiety issues, and if they are crate trained. I'd prefer a meet-n-greet before the first stay to ensure the dogs are friendly. Dogs MUST be potty-trained. For puppies, I understand it's often a work in progress and I'm happy to help with training. As mentioned, my homeowners policy will not allow the so-called "bully breeds".

A typical day

We walk around my NE Minneapolis neighborhood in the morning after breakfast and then a day of lounging while I work. I can take frequent breaks as needed to play or snuggle. In the summer months I fill the kiddie pool and enjoy outside time with the dogs.
