Crystal followed my directions and took good care of my cat. She kept in touch and filled out all of her Rover cards with pictures too. Even though the visits were just 30 minutes, she managed to do all the tasks I gave her like playing with my cat and grooming. So glad I could trust her and will use her again!

I thought Crystal seemed really sweet and my animals seemed to like her when we did the meet and greet but I was very displeased with the quality of care she provided. I gave very clear instructions for their care, including morning and evening time windows to care for them (dog and cat) before she took the job. From day 1, she did not abide by these windows but I figured they would be okay with a different schedule for a bit. I also told her that my cat is particular about his litter box and if it is not scooped daily he will pee on the kitchen floor in protest (again I told her this before she took the job). I also gave her instructions for cleaning if he did have an accident. She did not message me regularly throughout my trip and I had to reach out to her for updates and pictures. When I came home, I was very upset to find multiple urine spots, some where it had clearly been left for days and dried into the hardwood. When I checked the box it was filthy, clearly had not been scooped for several days. I messaged her about this and her response was that she had been busy with other Rovers and her main job and it had “slipped her mind”. Instructions including this were also posted on my cabinet to remind her of what to do and where things were. This was not the first time she mentioned other Rovers getting in the way of her caring for my pets. She clearly over booked herself to make extra money by providing sub quality care. After this experience, I will be purchasing cameras for my house so that I can know my pets are being taken care of.
