Pet care experience
I've always had pets and enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds - just no poisonous spiders or snakes, please 😅 I always propose a meet and greet prior to the booking in a neutral area or your home. This allows your pet(s) to get used to me, especially for house-sitting requests. These are free of charge, but a key component to a successful booking all around! I hope you like being spammed with pictures and videos of your pet(s)! I also do provide my direct contact information, for your peace of mind and I have found the app can be finicky when providing photo or video updates so I like to send them to you directly!!

I have a sweet little Shih Tzu with severe abandonment anxiety and a moody Russian Blue. Crystal was great with both of them! She was really accommodating to my puppy's emotional needs and gave Mr. Moody all the space he needed to finally come out and say hello. The house was clean and tidy and my babies safe, well fed, and happy. I couldn't ask for anything more! Crystal will be my go-to sitter from now on.
Crystal was by far one of the best dog sitters I have found in Rover. She was kind, caring, responsible and loved my dogs. My pups trusted and loved her back. When I got back I found a spotless house and very happy pups. I highly recommend Crystal for your next dog sitting job.

I clean up after myself, your pet(s) and ensure that you return home without any extra work to do. The last thing anyone needs when they come back from a vacation is to have to clean! I leave your home looking just as good or better than it was when you left ✨

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors that I need to be aware of - they may communicate their needs a little differently and I want to make sure I can meet those needs as best as possible! I like to know what to expect when walking your dog(s), as it allows me to determine the safest way to get them exercise without compromising anyone's safety (theirs, another animal, mine, etc.)
A typical day
I love to hang out with your pet(s) and have full-fledged conversations with them - they have a lot to say too! I enjoy learning their favorite toys, words and practicing their training reinforcement, especially if they are high-energy and may be needing a little extra special attention (separation anxiety). I love to go for long walks in the mornings or evenings, whether it's a nearby park, trail or the beach. Note: I will never go anywhere other than designated areas approved by owners.

Availability
I am a server at Humphrey’s Lounge on Shelter Island in the evenings - typically 3/4PM to midnight. I enjoy getting to exercise in the form of walking and/or playing with your pet(s), and being able to bond with them, whether that's cuddles on the couch or hanging out in the yard. I will never take your pet out anywhere without your permission, especially if it is hot - no hot asphalt allowed here!
