Big cats to pets, I've done it all!

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Crystal. My resume for animal care is very long and I am very passionate. I have about 18 years of experience caring for animals. From vet clinics to shelters, even rescued big cats and Animal Planet’s Pit Bulls and Parolees (I was NOT a parolee), I've done it all. My passion has always been rescue work with animals. There's nothing like being responsible for helping give an animal a better quality of life. I have dedicated my life to animal care in all settings. I have worked in vet clinics, managed a doggie daycare, shelters, and a pet-sitting company where I was a keyholder to 30+ homes (as well as run my own pet-sitting company). I have fostered baby orphans from kittens to wildlife. I have worked with Animal Planet's Pit Bulls and Parolees caring for 20 puppies and most recently was a former keeper to 150+ rescued big cats (yes, that tiger in the photo is a rescue and her name is P'da). I am well-trained in administering medications from pills to subcutaneous injections. I have many years of experience administering fluids and insulin. One of my cats is diabetic and I have experience with insulin in the doggie daycare/pet-sitting world. I have experience with fluids from multiple rescue work environments. Outside of work experience, I have many animals myself. I have 9 chickens, 3 ducks, 3 cats, 2 pigs, 2 miniature donkeys, 2 dogs, and 1 bunny (free-roam). I am responsible for their care which includes more than just food and water. I administer medications, trim all nails (including pig hooves), groom my Saint Bernard, clean coops, you name it! Your pet will be treated as if they were mine. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your furry family members!

We needed someone knowledgeable and patient to walk our rescue Great Pyrenees Popcorn, and Crystal was amazing with him. And at our first meeting she was able to offer some tips that improved our own walks with him. He looked forward to seeing her each day, and I was able to leave town for my vacation with complete peace of mind. Truly gifted, professional, and with a good sense of humor when Popcorn did something unexpected. Hope to be able to book with her again the next we leave town or need a walker—Popcorn will insist on it!

Crystal took great care of our 2 dogs. She arrived promptly at the agreed upon times. In addition to feeding and letting them outside, she stayed a long while to play with them. She sent us photos and videos. I highly recommend Crystal and will definitely hire her again!

Crystal did a wonderful job taking care of our kitties while we were away. One of them is on a daily medication and she made sure he got it each morning. Also, one of our kitties decided to leave an unexpected gift which Crystal kindly cleaned up for us. It’s a relief to not have to worry about our cats while we are gone or the stress of boarding them.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a huge fenced-in yard dedicated to my 2 dogs. However, I will always plan to have a dog-free home when your dog is here. I know all too well that friendly dogs can have issues over anything (territory, food, toys, etc.) and I want to eliminate all possible accidents. Your dog will also feel more comfortable from the start without having the added stress of meeting new dogs and learning new boundaries.

Information Crystal B. would like to know about your pet

It's incredibly important to communicate with anyone that will be handling your pet, what their not so likeable behaviors are. There is no need to worry that someone will not care for them, it simply allows professionals to ensure the safety of everyone.

A typical day

I love to give every animal my undivided attention. Yes, that includes animals I see in public, ha. I have a very high-energy dog and am no stranger to puzzles, tug-of-war, and walks. But I also know how important cuddles are to your fur-baby and let's face it, to me too.

Availability

I work from home as a podcast manager so that usually leaves me with open availability for your needs. My job isn't a typical 9-5 where I am tied to the desk. I just have to meet deadlines so that allows me to create my own work schedule. I have plenty of time to dedicate to your fur-baby!
