Pet care experience
I'm a vet tech in Chattanooga with over a decade of experience caring for a variety of animals, including reptiles, horses, cats, dogs, and even chimpanzees. I also have several years experience with positive reinforcement training and I’m Fear Free Certified in addition to being certified in pet CPR and Advanced Life Saving techniques. I'm comfortable with handling medical issues and administering medications. Special needs (behavioral or health) are no problem. I'm able to identify signs of a possible emergency and act accordingly. Whenever I travel, I'm very particular about who cares for my pets and I hold myself to those same high standards. Your pet will be treated with the same care and attention as my own. I personally have a variety of pets - 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 bearded dragons, one gecko, and two horses - so I’m comfortable caring for different species.

Crystal was able to squeeze me in at the last minute around the holidays and I appreciated that. I'm new to the area and the place I boarded previously was full. My cat is very nervous around new people so I was a bit apprehensive. But, Crystal made me feel at ease with leaving my cat with a new person without any worries. I'll definitely use her again!
Crystal is wonderful with our dogs and had no problems caring for our diabetic boy, with his insulin injections and glucose checks. She always kept us updated on how everyone was doing and sent lots of photos. Our dogs love her !
Crystal took great care of my dogs while we were on vacation. Lots of photo/video updates and she was always easy to get in touch with. She even trimmed their nails for us! The dogs were relaxed and happy when we returned. Definitely recommend Crystal as a pet/house sitter.

At my home, we have a fenced yard. Dogs are never left unsupervised, even with the fence. Care is always taken to prevent anyone from eating something potentially dangerous. The same care is provided in a client's home, with special attention paid to anything out of the ordinary you might need to know about. I'm also a photographer and love to take photos (and videos) of my pet sitting clients to share with parents while they're away.

A typical day
My goal is for your dog to stay busy and engaged, so they're not worried about mom or dad being gone. Whether that's one-on-one cuddle time or a fun long walk or an enrichment activity, I'm happy to come up with ideas for your individual pet. I prepare daily enrichment for my own dogs and can do the same for yours if you’d like.

Availability
I work 4 days a week at an veterinary clinic downtown, but I do have flexibility with my schedule. I use my lunch breaks and before/after work for pet sitting and I have Fri, Sat, and Sun off, and have full availability for pet sits on those days.
