I had to relocate last summer temporarily, and Cristina was the first person I contacted to be a carer for my cat Haile. By this point, I had known her for 2 years, and during those 2 years I could easily qualify that she is one of the biggest animal-lovers that I know, and that my cat would be safe, happy, and healthy in her care. What made me form this opinion was that she has family dogs, which adore her and are extremely excited whenever she visits home. She had also visited my home time-by-time and Haile was consistently affectionate with her. Cristina seemed to have unlimited reserves of energy when it came to playing with my cat, who also has unlimited reserves of energy herself. She would find new ways to engage my playful cat, and Haile often will pick up toys with her mouth and bring them over to Cristina, because I think she has the expectation that Cristina is always down to play. This was all the information I needed to have her in consideration for my summer pet-sitter, and she agreed, sent me frequent updates without needing to be asked, and when I returned, Haile appeared just as happy and healthy as she did when I had to leave. Cristina is someone that can be trusted to be an excellent pet carer, due to her kindness and dilligence. Due to current housing arrangements, Cristina has no pets of her own, and I think that's a shame because she is a tremendous carer, and that in the future, when she lives somewhere that could enable her to have pets, there will be more happy animals in the world under her care. As a friend of mine, I would love to see her do one of the things she loves most, being around pets, and I also would be happy to know that other animals other than my cat could experience her amazing care.
