PET CARE EXPERIENCE My partner, Christopher, and I have both grown up with dogs of all ages and sizes. My last pet, Ella, passed away at almost 18 and I cared for her through urinary incontinence and doggie dementia in her old age. While I definitely have a soft spot for senior dogs, Christopher is the pro at playing with and exercising younger, more energetic dogs. Both of us have experience training dogs for house training and simple commands. I have experience dealing with dogs with separation anxiety.

MY HOME I have a 25 lb, 3 year old dog named Kopper. Kopper is very calm and friendly, and is great at sharing his toys. I live in a spacious apartment in Buena Vista. There is a spacious balcony that your dog can access for some fresh air, and the living room is large enough for some indoor fetch and play time! Your dog will be allowed on all of the couches and the bed.

A typical day
TYPICAL DAY I’m right across the street from Buena Vista Park, a very dog friendly park with plenty of trails to walk. Kopper and I hit up the trails on all of our walks! I will only walk dogs on leash. There is also a fenced in off leash dog park nearby, which we can go to if you specifically request for me to do so. Kopper normally gets four walks a day (morning, mid day, late afternoon, and before bed). I can adjust our walking schedule as needed depending on who is joining us! :)

SCHEDULE I am currently a doctoral student; I am away for class on certain days of the week but many of my classes are done virtually from home. On the days I have to be in person, Christopher works from home, so someone is always home with the dogs! Since we have a dog of our own, walk and play times are already embedded in our schedule.
