Pet care experience
• Volunteer, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 2014 – 2016 Meet and greet potential adopters when they arrive at the ASPCA, answer questions and assist potential adopters in selecting a pet who fits into their lifestyle. Adhering to strict protocols to prevent the spread of disease, provide exercise, socialization, and basic training for the shelter dogs. As well as assisting the Adoption Center medical staff with the care of the shelter animals. • Event Coordinator, Animal Life Rescue Inc. 2015 - 2016 Plan and implement 3-4 shelter adoption events per year. Coordinating with shelter staff to plan dates/times. Recruit volunteers to assist with event duties and day of activities. Work with the Marketing Manager and Graphics Manager to create flyers/posters, etc. and market the events.

I have known Cristal for a long time now and I can honestly say she loves dogs. I am not much of a dog person but I can tell right away how great Cristal is with dogs. Since she was little she loved having pets to watch out for. She currently owns dogs now and they are amazing. Her dog Oso is well trained and can even respond to commands in English and Spanish. Oso's skills are all due to her amazing owner that not only loves her but cares for her. If I ever get a dogs I would make sure Cristal looks afterthem.
Cristal has always had a love for animals. She has volunteered with many local pet stores and vet offices during events that included pet adoption, care, and immunizations. She also was very instrumental in helping to organize many of the events. During middle and high school she set her goals on becoming a Vet and giving back to her community. Cristal would be a huge asset to your organization. Her experiences in the community with several organizations has given her the experience that you seek in becoming a dog caregiver. She is dependable, gives 110% in all that she does, learns quickly, and above all is a 'people' and 'animal' person. Her compassion for animals is top notch.

A typical day
Dog parks are the best to make sure dogs are social and to work on their socialization skills. If a dog is not comfortable there then a regular park is fine but improving any issues a dog may have is what I love best to do.
