As a previous veterinary technician, I am skilled in handling "difficult" animals and animals with medical needs. As a current employee at the Zoo, I am also skilled in caring for "cold-blooded" companions (non venomous).

Crista was an excellent sitter for my cat & fog. She did exactly as I asked her & respected my home. She also was just great with my animals as she knew how kittens like to play & be spoken to, or petted & also the needs of my dog as well as an enthusiastic embrace of love. She made me feel like my animals were in good, capable hands, communicated well, & sent adorable videos throughout her stay. I already have booked her again & recommend you do so, as well.

I spend a considerable amount of time bonding with the animal that I'm sitting to ensure that they are comfortable having me in their space. Once trust has been established, my main goals are to ensure your pet does not get anxious in your absence and that they have a fun time.

It is important for me to know ahead of time any triggers that your animal companion may have. I have experience with dogs that are not particularly keen on physical contact, animals with allergies and/or medical needs, and animals that are animal aggressive.
A typical day
I love to spend a considerable amount of time getting to know your animal and gauging their anxiety levels. When house sitting I like to emulate their owner's daily routine. By performing tasks at times that the animal is used to, I have found that this method reduces anxiety in cats and dogs significantly. When it comes to walks I like to take the dog on a path that they are familiar with.

Availability
I work full time during the weekdays, so I am available during early mornings and after 6pm. I am also available to physically check in on animals during my lunch breaks. During the weekends I am free at all hours of the day.
