Pet care experience
Life coach and writer used to being around animals all the time, offering loving care and a side helping of Reiki for your furfamily in your home for overnight stays. I work from "home" so I am present most of the day to care for your loved ones. I require an internet connection, and I can only accept New York State bookings (sorry!). I grew up with, and have experience with many animals: gerbils, cats, dogs, fish, ferrets, chickens, a snake, spent time caring for other livestock, and I'm always ready to learn what your darlings need and how you care for them so that they get consistency of care that reduces their stress and helps them be happy staying in your home while you're away. I am a trained Reiki practitioner, a life coach, and very calm and present in the room. I'm happy to play with your animals, and give them some extra hugs and love if that's what they like, or if they prefer something else — like some fetch or to be left alone with their bone — that's fine too. I love longer engagements, and as a former scout I always try to leave your home cleaner than I found it. I have a great reputation in the community; I'm on the board of directors of a regional non-profit, and I've been running my business in Middletown, NY since 2006. My reputation means a lot to me, and I always overdeliver for customers.

I'm very flexible with dogs and other pets. I usually meet furbabies with their pet-parents, preferably around feeding time, for a proper introduction and to get to know their needs and routine, amounts to feed them, where they like to be walked, favorite toys and snacks, etc. I'm not intimidated by dogs, but expect adult dogs to be human socialized and able to be introduced to and left with safe "strangers" they are introduced to without being defensive. I will be on the dog's turf, and the dog will have to tolerate me acting as "alpha" while the rest of the pack (you and the other human family members) are away.
A typical day
This is going to depend on where the dog's home is located. I am willing to travel with a well-behaved pet in my car, and would rather take them where the pet is familiar to help them remain calm and happy during my stay — their favorite dog park, or walking route, or just in your own yard.
